Please Help. Does anyone know what option codes 201 and 820 are?

I placed an order for an '09 C63 on Wednesday with the following options: 650-Arctic white; 318-Black Leather PKG; P02-Premium II; 030-Performance PKG; 320-Multimedia PKG; 359-TeleAid; 732-Black Maple wood trim; and lastly 201-??? and 820-??? Does anyone know what these last two codes represent? I can have this car for an end of August/early September delivery, but I would need to know what these two codes are. My dealer is unsure until the official '09 pricing is released. Could these be new codes? Any help any one can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

OK, after a detailed look at the packet she gave me, code 201 is indeed Black Leather. The 820 remains a mystery though.

So I'm thinking, maybe 820 is the Gas Guzzler Tax? By the way thanks for the help Last Emperor.

I'm looking at my quote from my dealer and it lists my production date as 08/20. Could your production date be the same and that is what is being indicated?

I'm not sure. I guessed that it might be the Gas Guzzler Tax, but it could be the car's birthday. Thanks for the input.

Thank you Jaybar. That has got to be it. I'm in Germany, and I will indeed do the factory delivery. Do you have a complete list of codes? I you do, please post them. I am sure others on the board would like to know. Thanks again, you solved the big mystery.

Is that a new option? My dealer indicated that European delivery was not an option for AMG models. I would very much like to take that option if it's avaiable.

That option is for European customers. However, Greg Clark (MBUSA AMG product manager) posted the following in a Private Lounge chat (on April 16):

We're happy to say that the C63 is certainly included in the European Delivery program. For all those who are not familiar with this initiative, it offers, in short, the following:

• One night’s accommodation in one of 12 luxurious hotels
• Breakfast or lunch at the Delivery Center
• Two Stuttgart taxi vouchers
• 90 minute factory tour
• 15 days of European road insurance
• Full tank of fuel
• Home shipment from European drop-off point to U.S.
• Destination charge is waived

Please see your local dealer for more information.

If the dealer's European Delivery specialist insists it's not possible, call MBUSA and ask to speak with Greg Clark or Eric Linder. Or even better, show the specialist at your dealer the quote and make them do the leg work.

If your dealer doesn't have a dedicated person (ususally in the finance office) who handles European Delivery, go to a different dealer. A salesman is useless since they don't get commission on European Delivery.

Thanks JohnEnglish,

I would bet that the codes are identical throughout the world. After all, they are MB factory codes. Obviously, different markets are offered different package combinations. I would like to see a true "World Car" with uniform features and options available for all markets. It sure would simplify things.

I would suspect that MB would like the same, but regional and country variations for insurance and (red tape) regulations would be more to blame than MB restrictions on options and availability.

I don't think that Canadian list is the same for the US. The OP lists 030 as the option code for the performance package but that list says APP (or P30). The number 030 doesn't appear anywhere on the Canadian list. Does anyone have a US list?
