C63 AMG in 2005 Vette out
Interesting how a nice sedan will turn more heads going up the US 1 highway in southern California than a modern Corvette!
I am so impressed with this car so far, the handling is great, the blip on down shifts brings out the kid in you, and the exhaust note is just raunchy!
And to think this all started to get rid of back pain while driving on long hauls in the Corvette, sianara baby!

The Corvette is still nice and tight, (was) at 28,000 miles and did not have any bad tendencies except for the 1.25 neg camber to help on the track would give you fits in heavy truck ruts in asphalt.
A heavy G load in a dip would scrap the front of the air dam, those same
dips (my commute) can be ignored completely in the C63. The Merc has
not complained yet, although I am being gentle at this point.
The C63 rides better on all surfaces so far, but will show some of the really
big wash boarded stuff. Call this positive road feed back.
A trip "on the pace" on the old Ortega Highway was pure joy, no push
noted yet and the ride is very smooth and always well behaved.
Not until I get back to true track speeds can I say if the weight bias will
lead to some push, then I can see how the suspension keeps it under
control during high loads.
This car is more comfortable than it has a right to be!

At this point, the C63 has the torque advantage in low RPM situations.
The 2005 C6 only had 405 horsepower published with 3400 LBS to carry.
AMG's C63 is near 4000 LBS (I have heard) with 457 horses.
You end up with a sedan that should hold it's own in both a straight line and in the curves (plagerist that I am), Priceless.

A motorcycle crash in 1994 broke my back and long trips in the Vette were painful.
Now I can drive my C63 in a very spirited fashion in total comfort or take Mz Ruff's E350 and cush my way where ever we need to go.
