AMG 19" V16 Spoke wheels arrived...
Just thought I'd let people know that I had a good transaction with Alloywheelsdirect in the UK. From the time I placed my order it took roughly 3-4 weeks to arrive at my door. Once you place an order with them they then order the wheels from the factory. The wheels were shipped DHL and only took a few days to arrive from the UK. Overall I'm very satisfied with my dealings with them, and the wheels including shipping and center caps came out to around $3500. Not bad imo.
But anyway, I weighed the wheels, and the rears are around 27 lbs and the fronts 26-26.5 lbs. I was a bit surprised the fronts weighed almost the same as the rears, but anyhow not too bad for factory wheels. Next I need to pick out some rubber, but not until after I get these puppies powder coated

Btw, I'm planning to powder coat the wheels black/black metallic of some sorts, since my car is Iridium Silver I prefer a contrasting look. I can't decide, however, between an all around satin/flat black, or a gloss black between the spokes, and a satin/flat finish on the face of the spokes. As some of you may or may not know, the factory finish is a gray metallic in between, and machined finish on the face.
Anyhow, I was going to wait and post pictures after I get them powder coated as I figure most know what they look like from the factory.
Here is a crude photoshop I did of the look I'm trying to achieve (minus decals and lightbar
) Please let me know what you think!

Ordered direct from my dealer here in Toronto. $895 Fronts $950 Rears ($3690) He owed me a favor....
Includes Center Caps, Valves, Weights and AMG Install and Balance Package.
Going with P-Zeros 235.35.19F and 265.30.19R I just installed a set of 18' (take offs from a C63) on my C55 and love them. Coming off PS2's I find the Pirelli very similar just a bit more predictable.
Wheels will be installed at delivery. Keeping the OEM wheels for winter and Dealer is swapping my OEM 18" P-Zeros for 4 Pirelli Winter SOTTOZERO (235.40.18) so I am good to go out of the gate.

I havn't weighed the 18"s yet as they're still on the car, and won't be able to weigh just the wheels since the tires are mounted to them. But I would imagine they probably only weigh 1-2 lbs less than the 19".
