$10,000 bump on sticker price

Hi all,

I thought you might find this amusing. I stopped by the local dealer for a look see and they had 1 red C63 AMG on the lot. It is being driven by the owner and had a sticker price of $65,000 something. Their own sticker was for $75,000 even. I asked the salesman what was the deal. He said well, that has a few miles on it so you can disregard the $75,000 price. Are these still that darn hard to come by?

Ya some guys just try to rape if they can. Tell them you'll come back when its 10K less than sticker. ( dont know how many Miles are on it ) But the more the miles then the less the price. These goof's seem to think that its worth more cus the OWNER drove it.

CLK 500(Gone), C63 FTW!
My sales person told me, they got USED c63, black/black on august. It's been driven by the owner of M-Benz dealership in Seattle. (Phill Smart Inc.) it's only 1,1xx miles at the moment, I dont know if any one of you guys interested in the Used C63. They MIGHT be willing to sell it for a lower price

^ You guys are probably right. That particular friend likes to joke around and brag everytime he buys expensive items for a significant discount. And he knows I'm waiting for my C350.

I didn't ask how many miles it had on it, but this is a podunk area. There are probably a lot of prospective buyers here that will believe they are very hard to come by. I remember when the 1st Plymouth Prowlers and Chrysler Crossfires arrived here; both had bumped stickers ($10,000 too if memory serves). What they actually sold for, I couldn't tell you.

well look at the Gt500s , the markup intially was 20k and then dealers started to come down to 8-10k , now you can get one for 2k less than MSRP or atleast msrp

The C63's are going to be "Generally available" due to the economy and number of cancelled orders. Look at mine, it's going to be here in a couple of weeks and has not been sold yet after my cancellation!

I agree, people arent spending as freely as the were 2 years ago , most premium car sales have suffered and most dealers at year end would want to get rid of the cars basically few hundred over cost.
btw did you get any penalty for cancellation

No penalty, just got my $1000 deposit back with out any strings attached. It did'nt hurt having purchased several cars from the Sales Guy and this dealer.

I posted a thread that my position was available but no takers at MSRP yet???

Regards
