Well on paper the CTS-V looks to blow the C63 into the weeds along with the M3 and IS-F, but we'll have to see what if it can really put down the power and if the chassis can deliver the handling balance need to compete with the German and Japanese cars.

I can't see how the fit and finish of the CTS-V would compare to the MB. Saying that I have never seen or drove one.
If you get the CTS-V then you could put on some 26" spinners but with the C63 only 20".

7:59 which is only 3 seconds slower than a C6 Z06. The new V is no joke. The LSAs are making 500rw stock, and 607/605 with CAI/medium pulley/tune. They should tap out with the 1.9L TVSs around 650rw with full bolt-ons/tune and a small pulley. Factory forced induction FTW.

Top Gear? CTS-V?
That was Season 6 - like five six years ago! Did they recently do the new body? I must've missed it.
I toyed around with the idea of getting the last edition. The wheel hop/launch issue and all the TONS of problems people were having with the diff I said no thanks - and that was at the $44k price.
The new one, I was thinking about it again - love the specs, the interior is a bit cleaner. At the end of the day it's GM interior junk. Sorry - but America has not yet proven they know interiors. The C63 is pretty well put together. It's no Audi interior, mind you, but it's close - much closer than Caddy.
Now the CTC-V if the V version ever comes to pass is very hot in my opinion. Even with the bumblebee seats. But only time will tell.
I like that the Merc has been on the street for about a year. It's in its second year of production and the motor has been around even longer.
Lastly - although they have the same price now, I bet the depreciation curve is much steeper on the caddy - what will you get back in five years?
Go merc - don't look back.

You are obviously entitled to your opinion, but check your facts on this one. The Caddy is awful, but the 55/63/65 MBs are just as bad.

The Top Gear review of the CTS-V was the OLD CTS-V, not the new one.
I could have gotten onto the #1 spot for a new CTS-V, but they didn't know pricing at the time, and I've heard additional dealer markup of $10k to $20k is going to be on the cars at the start...

They can try to get those markups, but with all the competition and the economy in the ****s, that GM car will be lucky to sell for MSRP!! What do they think their car is...a GTR?

Same thing happened with the old CTSV - they tried to mark it up. Got some for the first couple of months but a year later were moving them at invoice. This time around, GM will probably take a lesson from Nissan and Nintendo - leak them out, few units at a time and keep the simmer. With the Vette-lite motor and (arguable) better looks, they will sell some units. But here's the linup...
