Black Maple or Aluminum Trim
I put my reservation deposit down yesterday and I selected Black Maple trim.
My car is Palladium on Black. I selected the maple trim but now I'm wondering if I should change it to aluminum. My wife says get the maple but the aluminum really looks sporty.
Love to hear your opinions.

I got the aluminum. I wanted the sporty look. I have Silver with Black Interior. I posted some shots of my car somewhere in the C63 forum so just do a little search if you want to see it.

Maple. It's really classy. I've had leather that looks like carbon fiber (BMW), aluminum from Audi and from MB and this is by far the nicest finish. I hate wood interiors, but it's so black that it just looks like something other than dead wood.
On the upside, I was always afraid of scratching the aluminum - not so much with the wood. Is it stronger? Probably not, but I don't feel I need to be so careful.

Simple, Black Maple is more elegant, professional, business like. The Aluminum is race car like, for a younger driver, ect. To each his own. I got Black Maple, but any of the two would look great.

Palladium/Black/Black Maple - November Delivery. I can't wait. I hope I don't lose my job surfing these forums before the car gets here. How sad would that be. ha!

Depends on how long you keep your car. You and I live in the same climate. I have seen wood split as early as 3 years; recently on a Bentley.

a rare C63
Well, I guess I went against the grain in two ways then... I went with Mars Red which most I've seen comment on the color have said they don't like it on a Mercedes Benz, and I went with the aluminum trim with the black interior...
I think it more as a sports sedan, than a luxury sedan, so the red exterior, and black interior with aluminum trim was the natural fit (at least for me)...
Not that it really matters, but a Mars Red C63 with aluminum trim and the oh-so-limited-reduced-by-accident-performance-package will make this quite a rare car...

Agreed. I just got tired of every MB I see being white, silver, or black. I'm OK with being called a girl, as long as my exhaust note sounds awesome and I am accelerating away from the person...

Car is at the dock and should be at my dealer by early next week. I'm back in Arizona, will fly up to Portland to pick up the car on 9/4, and then will drive it back down to Scottsdale (with a stop at VRP Tuning) to handle the break-in... Can't wait.
