Got into a flame war with some of these dudes. I had to settle of few of them down.
This playboy proved his point.

C32/55vse46 M3, E55/63 vs M5, C63 vs e90/92/93 M3....I much rather have a conversation with someone who appreciates both then someone who wants to make you think the other is better.

But the amount of ignorance in that thread on m3post is typical of many M3 owners or fans on the internet. They simply assume that their M3 will blow away any C-AMG car on a track, which is simply NOT the case. The M3's are a bit faster when taken to the absolute limit, but very few people ever can do that, even on a racetrack.
This I do know: I spend far more time in my C55 on the streets than I do on a racetrack. It gives me great pleasure (from real personal experience) to know that my car can hold its own on a race track in stock form and street tires with the benchmark E46 M3, while being a SUPERIOR road car for my wife beside me and 2 kids in the back.

the track car you have is the 135.. and you can hold your own with just about anything.
add some better tires, a few suspension mods and just a mild tune and thing is perfect.
back to the topic.
to say that a car is a few seconds faster around a track is great... but in real world the difference is not there.
If the difference was several seconds like 15 to 20 seconds.. than obviously yes.
To say the new C63 is a pig aorund corners and heavy boat is just plain ignorant. Those arguments are not the case anymore.
While I think the M3 has more potential around the track.. the C63 has more potential on the freeway. I usually stay on the freeway

My E211 E55 is a boat and a pig.. but its my family car.
But yes, now that I have the 135i, the C55 will see less track days.

If you are going to pay for a car you like then be happy with it. There is always somebody faster or better on streets and tracks as well as road course with lesser cars with alot less power but just build properly and with a skilled driver. Stop this non-sense guys before someone gets hurt and all for nothing really...

Just leave them alone or be nice to them. How hard is that?
