In the Front wheel well is three pins pull these out then you can peal back the cover. Back of the front marker just floats while the outside snaps in. Takes 10 minutes a side.

I did from the top side and did not even have to remove anything on the wheel well. If I can do it from the top, with the hood open of course , a monkey can do it.

As shaker said - spare yourself the grief, open the hood, look in - you'll see exactly what you need to do - press in one tab, push forward to pop out.
Take the bulb out first though.

Sorta off topic, but maybe semi-pertinent...
Let's say for some reason I had damage or needed to replace my front bumper.....Would it be possible to get a front c63 bumper from MB Canada without the reflectors?

How did you get to it from the engine compartment? I did it through the wheel well and it was easy once you pop out the 3 pins.

You can actually see the side markers when you look down in towards the fender sides. Both sides are easily accessible. Once you understand where the housing clips on, by viewing the new reflector that you just received, it's easy. I was asking the same questions everyone else is here now before the install and then once I did it I realized that I had wasted more time asking the questions about how to do it than the actual time it took to actually do it.

Well, I finally got around to doing this and I can say that it is *not* easy unless you have tiny arms and hands. It took me several tries to get the black housing off the inside (1 clip, 2 hooks) - and then getting it back on was twice as hard.
I would recommend taking the same black housing piece they ship with the reflectors from evosport, and practice taking it off and putting it back on the reflector with your eyes closed. You can't really see what you're doing while you're doing it, but once you get a mental picture of how they go together doing it out of sight is easier.
The second one came off and went back on easier than the first since I had a feel for how to get the hooks on before snapping the clip.

09 C63 steel grey
.
Here are the pieces of the side marker assembly - and I was wrong, my kit only came with the outer portion so I had to keep the inner piece that comes with the car. Notice the two 'hooks' on the bottom of the exterior piece and they greyish catch at the top. The middle pic shows the two pieces with the hooks latched into the two holes of the inner piece (it's taped together for the photo). The last pic is both pieces snapped together viewed from the back.
On the C63 you can access the side marker assembly from under the hood.
From inside the engine bay:
1) you twist out the bulb socket (and replace bulbs to amber if you want)
2) then depress the catch to disconnect the outer piece of the cover assembly from the inside shell - I removed both of these since the new set I ordered came with both pieces.
From both inside and outside:
3) then you have to line up the new outer cover with the inner shell and snap them together - this took me a while for some reason.
4) lastly put the bulb socket back in (edit)
That's it -took me about 10 minutes on the first side, less than 5 on the other.
Realize that the left and right assemblies are not interchangable (they are stereo isomers if you will)
It's a little tight, so I suppose if you have huge hands you may have to go from wheel well. I also don't recomend doing it while the engine is hot.

I made the silly mistake of doing the first side reflector only by touch; just feeling for the release hooks to get them on and off. Took my like 10 minutes of fidgeting. The other side, I finally had the brains to get a flashlight and look at where the hooks actually were. That took about 30 seconds. Bottom line: look before you leap!

Just did mine. Took 5 minutes. Very easy, very simple and the results well there are no words that can express the satisfication of not seeing those huge ugly yellow things on the side of my car.
Before and after pic's below.

I got them from Evosport. Simon hooked me up. He is great and highly recommend him.
Yes they are pricy don't remember the price I paid off hand but it was not cheep. I could have had the originals painted but I wanted to keep them just in case something does happen and I need to put them back on.

Mine are coming tomorrow from evosport, and was wondering if there were instructions included?
Also, I believe the light will shine through so I need to either paint the bulb or "zip tie it". Can anyone explain the zip tying? Where am I zip tying it to? Are the zip ties included?
And I'm supposed to leave the bulb plugged in, but leave it out of the socket? Anyone care to elaborate?
