C63 Questions

Howdy - recieved mine on Friday (Palladium / Black, Performance and Premium Pkg - Cdn model

I am very happy with the purchase, I think the support from everyone saying WOW, nice car, sounds amazing, etc etc etc helps out alot on the confidence of making the purchase.

The sound really is what everyone has been saying, Youtube or other internet vids just dont do any justice, this thing screams, and growls sooooo nice. I love music and most of the tiem the stero is off just so I can here my symphony out the back. Amazing!

Power is there for sure - the first day it was unbelievable, I was grinning like a little kid, even keeping upnder the 4500RPM for the most part is enough to put a **** eating grin on...I felt like a bit of an igg but then I remembered ive got a 6.2 under the hood.

I do have a couple questions,

1) why at the bottom of the gas pedal is there a switch that can be depressed if you really stomp? is this a MB thing or something else, only other time I have felt that is when I put a switch there on a nitrous civic i had way back...

2) is there anyway to set the left mirror to adjust when in reverse? the right one will but i cant seem to get it on the other side

3) will the headers change the tone out the back to more of a domestic car sound? I wouldnt mind a little more crackle and pop and a SLIGHT increase in volume but i dont want a Vette sound.

Any comments are appreciated, please let me know
thanks.

a quarter mile at a time
1. it's the kickdown button. When depressed, the car will drop to the lowest possible gear and go WOT.

2. no. just the passenger side.

1) my 997 turbo has the same click under the pedal
2) as for the reverse set for the mirrors, you can just use one of the seat memory positions... It works pretty well...

That old school thinking is finally giving way. The M5 is faster with the slushbox nee manumatic than the six speed. Computers are finally beating people in this game. Though, dollar for dollar, second for second, I miss my manual tranny.

Sorry to disappoint you. And jes, it is faster. Some puritans would gasp at the thought. But I'd rather have the performance. I can live without the manual. Besides, it leaves a HUGE smile on my face every time. And as a daily driver, you can't beat the tip

Actually .2 seconds faster at 3.4 sec and I heard that one of the car mags got it down to 3.1 sec with torque braking.

+1 You know the kickdown buttons not really a button, more of a click like one guy said. its on all the C class too.

As for the driver mirror tilt, iv never seen it on ANY car, its always just the pass side. And ya programing your mirror to the 3 postion memory is the only way I know of.
