What happens if....

you hammer the C63 during the break-in period. I currently have 500 miles on the car and couldn't resist the temptation of racing a porsche today. Any problems?
Thanks

Don't worry about it. I hammered my car several times during break-in. No problems.

people forget that these cars are dyno tested at the factory at WOT before you even get them.

The break-in is for the tranny, not the engine.

What did you race and how did you do?

I raced a Cayman S. Saw him flying from behind and hammered it, but not to the max, and still smoked him. I gotta say I am utterly impressed with the performance and the handling of this car.

So when your best friend comes out with his viper and decides to try and show off and you drive so he can't shake you and the dash is turning red during shifting... that's ok? LOL.

(that was two weeks ago, but at 1100 miles)

My car was at the drag strip making multiple passes at 600 miles, I'm now at 1600 miles or so and it runs just fine.

If you hammer it, then click your heels three times, the FULL Performance Package will magically appear.

The stork dropped off my composite brakes today. Too bad I won't have time to get them on until at least next week.

Thanks for sharing the times MHP! Must've missed them when you posted them before (I don't hit the C63 forum everyday). These were on your 285 width DR's, correct? Your trap speed is very strong, but I would've expected lower ET's than 12.9-13ish

Check sig!
I´ve hammered it since day one.
The dealer said that there is no run-in period.

No DRs, the car was 100% bonestock with 600 miles on the odo. Blame the DA, extra humidity (beyond what the DA calc's assume) and green driveline. Additionally Trails is known for being the slowest track in Ohio. Thomspon, 42, Norwalk, Edgewater are all faster. Shooting for 11s with the Stage I package.

What happens is that you smile really wide and get these maniacal giggles. It's all positive.
