Carbon Fiber trim
Can someone who has the CF option give a breakdown of the exact pieces that are in CF? I've never seen it in person and don't recall forum pictures, but I have a possibility of getting on a couple of cars we're looking at (out of state).

Thank you Captain Obvious. Gee, ya think?
I don't have a car sitting in the garage to see where the aluminum trim is. Going off some press photos I know there are 2 (L/R) door panels, there's the sliding panel above the ashtray, and I think there is a panel that goes from the central console to the right side of the car (above the glove box).
What about around the shifter? What about around the climate controls? What about around the center console controls (radio, phone, etc)? What about the rear door panels?

In that case, I only count 5 pieces of CF. Doors (2), shifter, ashtray cover, climate control surround. What about rear door panels? What about the guage surround? 5 small pieces of CF for $2500 is a ridiculous gouge. I bet you could get a full CF hood for that price range.

Ordered it on mine - Just a question of asthetics - I love CF - price was not a consideration to be blunt.

CF looks real good on black but 2.5k is to much for me and would rather use the money for other mods.I will order with black maple.

Value here is totally subjective - was the carbon diffuser on my Scuderia worth the price of 2 smart cars? - to me, yes.... Was flying it in for nearly the price of one Smart car worth it rather than waiting 5-6 weeks to come by boat? - to me, yes. Is $2,500 for a CF interior worth it? - to me, Yes.

All we need is to find someone who has a vacuum setup and oven, give them our stock pieces and have them wrap a single layer of CF. Total cost should be around $150. The CF stuff MB uses can't be solid CF, it's got to be a veneer - albeit real CF, but still on some substrate material. The pricing is a total rip off.
And yea, the scuderia chatter - what a farce. If you like burning money like that, share some with us who are a little more financialy held back. Then we can all share in properly priced car mods and be happy as a group
