ah here we go... after visiting the BMW site and reviewing the performance numbers of the m3 and the m3 dct, it appears as though sticky was right. the m3 dct is faster than a standard manual m3 (4.6s vs 4.8s) where 4.6 is an impressive number, it doesnt change the fact that it is a far cry from the C63 posted official 0-60 of 4.3.... nevermind all that right? you want to experience the race for yourself? real world dynamics apply to only the m3 dct right? well why did road and track test the c63 at 4.1? and why do many other sources claim 3.9?
face it sticky. the m3 dct is going to be slower every time, unless you weigh 100lbs and the guy youre racing in the merc weighs 300lbs, then you MIGHT catch up to the c63 IF you get your launch mode working right.... forget the rolling starts.

But back on topic. I think sticky2 came off as a jerk in the beginning but it seems to me like he is a car fanatic liuke most of us and he just wants to have some good fun. I dont know about his M3 being faster than a C63, but I know that his M3 could outhandle a C63. Different cars. It would suck if MB and BMW copied each other and made similar cars. Then it would be easy for us to pick which one is best, but MB and BMW make different cars. I think it would be awesome to get some races set up. Sticky2, if you're ever in the LA area let me know so we can get some runs set up, its not a 63, but we couls still have some fun.
But seriously... some of you guys are nagging like little b!tches on their periods. Just get a bigger tampon and STFU.

last thing to add for this thread:
i've seen videos of C63 beating M3 and M3 beating C63 on youtube. there are quite a lot of them.
however my question is in a day to day situation on the road and on the freeway and maybe at a stop light what are the chances that you'll be doing a launch control launch in the M3 where in the C63 all you need is a quick press of the ESP off button. IMO it's more about the driver than anything.
recent Fifth Gear test of the IS-F and M3 sedan MDCT. the IS-F was only .10 slower than the M3 around the track. to be honest I'm actually more impressed with the IS-Fake exhaust tips than neither the M3 or the C63.
i've seen videos of C63 beating M3 and M3 beating C63 on youtube. there are quite a lot of them.
however my question is in a day to day situation on the road and on the freeway and maybe at a stop light what are the chances that you'll be doing a launch control launch in the M3 where in the C63 all you need is a quick press of the ESP off button. IMO it's more about the driver than anything.
recent Fifth Gear test of the IS-F and M3 sedan MDCT. the IS-F was only .10 slower than the M3 around the track. to be honest I'm actually more impressed with the IS-Fake exhaust tips than neither the M3 or the C63.

yes! i was just noticing that the c63 used for all the previous professional tests was sans lsd and performance package.... is that performance package 030? id like to see numbers around a track for the c63 p030(lsd) vs m3 dct....
