Wait, did you burn your music to the DVD as audio tracks or as MP3 data DVD? That instruction only works for copying the MP3 files from the burned DVD to the HHD. I don't think the system can rip audio DVD tracks but only CDs.

Or you can try to PM the original author, as I don't even own a W204...

Thanks - I am glad there's someone on this forum sharing my views - it wouldn't take much to fix it - but they won't because they are MB and we spoilt them by taking whatever got dished at us -now's the time to fix it

Any help?
Burn your mp3 files to a dvd disk. You can have folders with sub folders etc and when played you can navigate thru them using the steering buttons. Also each dvd disk will hold up to 4.7GB of data which calculates out at approx 1500 songs in mp3 format.

I burned all my music to dvd's and still have a slot free on my changer for future music files.

Although I have a pcmcia card I dont use it anymore, as i have all my music in my cd changer.

Update this old thread

Got an Iconnect PCMIA adapter $9.99 and 4-gig Kingston Compact Flash card $21.00 @ Fry's. Works great. I like the speed it switches between the folders and not having to wait for CD's to load. Might try a 16-gig

I don't know about SDHC cards, but can attest that CF cards will work even at higher capacities. I am currently using a 32GB CF card (Kingston) with an adapter that came with an Epson photo printer and have about 25GB of music on the card and can access all of it.

Just bought the i-connect PCMCIA Compact Flash reader ($9.99) and an 8GB Kingston Compact Flash Card ($34.99) from Frys.

The PCMCIA card fits in the dash perfectly flush and when inserted, the CF card sits flush also. It works wonderfully. Only issue is the slow initial load "Reading Memory Card" each time I start the car.

How long does that take, and does it auto-load as soon as you start? IE if I start the car listen to the radio then click over to PCMCIA it'll be ready to go?

I have the same setup. Transferred my iTunes from my Mac over to the 8 gig card. Music on the card but told "Can not Read" in the car. Trying to figure this out. Dealer has no clue.
