Can you retro fix the keyless go or the push button start for the U.S.?

Probably, but that would be insanely expensive.

May want to look into aftermarket remote starts instead.

Oh well, I was thinking the "Start Button" would be nice to have.

I was thinking the remote start would be cool too. I know it's a matter of opinion, but what's so great about the start button anyway? Don't they still have to put a key in or is it totally just keys in the pocket, push the button?

I was pretty bummed about not having the parktronic too... but the aftermarket backup camera is way cooler IMO.

Keyless-Go = key in the pocket while opening the door and while pressing the start button on the shifter. The key never leaves the pocket. Greatest invention ever. Whoever has it will not buy another car without it.

I am one of those who wouldn't buy another Mercedes w/o keyless-go. When you have young children, keyless-go is a no-brainer must have option.

I have a Porsche with Benz's equivalent of Keyless-go (pseudo-key in the ignition and real key in your pocket). It's OK, but sometimes a nuisance. For instance, try leaving your car with a valet and forgetting about the key in your pocket. They'll drive off & park it miles away before realizing-- where's the frickin' key? Or worse yet, as in the case of the Porsche, trying to restart the car with the pseudo-key in the ignition and "Key not Found" flashes on the dash...

In my Z06, I once left a car wash with the key fob behind. I got all the way home and realized just before I turned it off that my keys were not with me. Keyless go will spoil you!

Ya, I will miss my keyless go when I hand in my '07 S550 in Dec and flip into an '09 C63...assuming I will get used to turning the key.

I am sure they will sooner or later have that option for us in the future, I have to look and see if they offer it for the European models.

They strip down the C class here to make it comparable to the Chevy Malibu. No keyless go. No power folding mirrors. No 19" wheels. All available overseas. Even Canada MB gets more than the USA.

I'll admit I'm kinda bummed out about no folding mirrors in my 09. I'll have to ask Steve @ MBenz.nl if he can take care of that for me....

I wouldn't think it would be that difficult. Maybe its as simple as swapping the mirrors and screwing in the button on the drivers door. The power is already wired to the mirrors.

Who handles the aftermarket backup camera?

It shouldn't be that easy...I had the same thing done on my C55 a few years back- replacement of the mirror housings and a new control unit on the dash. Also, it had to be re-programmed into the display options by the mini-Star Diagnostic computer that Steve has.....I'm still waiting for his reply.

Regards.

Well as far as I know our Canadian neighbors have key-less to go along with Pwr folding mirrors on 2009, maybe its because our roads aren't good enough, there last excuse for the 19's ... I was surprised they didn't give Canada the full boat, including 19 in wheels

I would wish someone connected to MBUSA would comment on this... I could understand the 19in wheels (which we all know is BS!) but everything else should have been available to all of North America

I have Keyless go and start button.

Gotta love them! Just leave the key in your pocket and enjoy the car.

Parking sensors are great too.

Blame MBUSA, they also short change the US customers for some odd reason.
