If I recall, the silver one was made in very small numbers to commemorate the 40th anniversary of AMG. It is called liquid silver or something like that.

Just out of curiousity - How does one order a special color such as that? Do you have to be an exclusive customer to AMG?

If I recall only 40 were made. It can't be ordered in this form. The special thing about it, is the application of the paint.

It has to be done through the Performance Studio at AMG during the build of the car. Unless you want to pay ridiculous amounts to have the paint stripped all the way down and repainted.

What kind of engine is that at 1:38? Looks like a 6 cylinder engine.

that paint is def. the special 40th anniversary one. i recall reading an article about it on the 40th anniversary cl65. the paint is made up of actual aluminum particles which are many times smaller than the "flakes" of normal paint which are applied to the car. the result is a matte finish which is acheieved due to the super small metallic particles comprising the paint, the light refracts differently and is alsoimpermeable to the elements... there was also a note in the article that mercedes actually developed the paint technology, and it is currently extreemely expensive to do, thus the limited number of cars with this paint...

For sure, there is a limited number. It's not a normal production vehicle with that paint. Not many people order through the Performance Studio, but if you want that paint you can get it by ordering through the AMG Performance Studio at your dealer. Just be ready for the price differential. Here is a better picture.

that is the Diesel motor from the C30 AMG. its a 5 cyl upgraded diesel engine.
