Mileage example
Here are some real time gas milage computed from the gas fillup as opposed
to the computer. I left Ridgecrest and went to Mammoth Lakes Ca, 180 miles up highway 395. I had the cruise set at 75 and was cruising at 80 alot of the time when I could find bait (Bait is a car who likes to drive well above the speed limit while in the left hand lane on a 4 lane highway. I sit back about a half a mile back with my V1 radar detector. 100% of the time the bait has flushed out the CHP and got the ticket. We have ALOT of bait in Cailfornia)
Mammoth is at 7,300 feet from Ridgecrest is at 2000 feet. I passed when needed but there was not much traffic. 19.8 mpg. I thought that was pretty good on the motor with 1300 miles. On the way home (All down hill) the car got 23.7 mpg!! The wife drove home while I listened to Sirius.
Just a data point for those wondering.
SO around 22 mpg is pretty good for a 6.2 liter V8!!!

All in all a 3600 mile trip.... I thought the mileage was good as there was the occasional 100 MPH+ sections as well through the Kentucky landscape and elsewhere LOL.

I only have 710 km on my car, which I put on during the weekend. I averaged 18 mpg (calculation) cruising at 100 km/h. I pushed once to around 4500 rpm.
