Just stop paying your lease, then hold out till Jan. 20th and maybe get a Obama auto lease/mortgage bail out check.

damn!

thats why i didnt get the C63...that price is nuts!!

i pay $100 more for a 92k 650
and for 30 months
and with tax included

anyways, are you doing any "incentive" to lower payments, or do you want someone to swap it at ur price ?

Instead of sending in a lease payment last month I just sent in some hope and change.

Mods are usually required to be deleted at turn-in: bring to OEM. In addition to that he is already over his monthly mileage alotment. There will have to be incentives. Thats also why its not a good idea to mod a rented vehicle. $0.02

I have modded everyone of my leased cars..and either sold them with the mods to someone who took over the lease..or just brought the car back to stock..I can get money back on my parts..and do the labor myself...And I meant 12k a yr. I will offer a 1-2k incentive..or give the upgrades.

I think everyone knows that already however. Its not some big shocking statement.

Its funny how people go about calling it a rented car that you should not mod. If he owned the car he would be exposed to the wonderful depreciation shown by all mercedes vehicles. This way he has limited exposure to the down side, he has an exit point where he cant go wrong, and he gets a new car in 3 years.

I paid $416 with tax a month for an e350 for 24 months in a lease and that saved me about 600 bucks a month. With a car that is now worth 23,500 and a purchase price of 48,500 (54k msrp) that is a loss of 24k. Divide that out and its a 1k loss a month and i paid 40% of that. I will stick to renting my cars and the wheels I put on when it needed tires jsut sold so my set of tires I purchased cost me 300 bucks for 255/285 PS2's. Modding the leased car was not to bad a business decision.

On this C63 I bet it is worth in the low 30's at the end of the lease. So he will end up having about 1.1k a month of depreciation. Add in the lost interest if he bought the car cash and you have a net savings with the leasing of the vehicle (assuming a zero down lease which seems to be the case with the lease price). MB will be raising leasing costs even in this bad market as they cant afford to have these lease cars creating such a loss. With a 4th quarter write down of 150m for MB and 350m for BMW on lease returns the party has to end or they will go broke.

Most people will get a new car in 3 years and this just secures that purchase. If he modded the car he likely would go back stock before selling it so that is a moot point. Plus 3 years is a good amount of time to enjoy a KW V3 kit. Its pretty rare and a very quality upgrade. As for the rep wheels.... thats not as impressive but they do look nice.
