Guess its going to be Black and Sahara
So after putting my deposit down almost a year ago, I finally put my order through Saturday for the C63. I had been waiting since the lease on my RRS doesnt expire until June of this year.
After contemplating White, Black, and one of the three shades of silver/gray, I decided on Black with the Sahara Beige/Black interior. Ultimately, I let my choice of interior color pick the exterior color and Black matched it best. I just couldnt get over how nice the two-tone interior looks.
My car's specs are P2, Multi Media, and Seating Package. MSRP was $66,335...the number I wanted to be at was $64,100 (i wanted to split the difference between invoice and msrp), and the final deal ended up being $64,000 so I was happy. I know if I had wanted a car off the lot I probably could have gotten fairly close to invoice, but i wanted it spec'd exactly as I wanted and built for me. My delivery is May 1st and Im already counting down the days.
I will be financing the car, lease rates are still so high. Based on my credit score it still up around 9%.

I actually didnt ask when its going into production - but i'm guessing soon since it was still open to configure (looking in the system the car had been spec'd with ipod adaptor but I had that removed)
I will find out wen my production date is - (the car is slated to arrive some time in April but Im waiting until May 1 to pick it up since I do not want two car payments for 2 months, nor do i have two covered spots)

called my dealer - it will be a March build - so sounds like an '09 - Im fine with that since I think theyll bump msrp up some and keep everything the same aside from a few small changes (although this would be the year if they chose not to raise it at all, but I cant see that with AMG)
the only thing that would kill me is if they added a red interior, so I hope they dont do that -
also - I was told that with the production cutbacks and plant closings, AMG was un-affected, it only pertained to the regular cars

If it comes in early April Ill call to see if they will work with me on my part of my first payment as incentive to pick it up earlier since they will have a cost to carry...
ps..i have already specified that my car WILL NOT be in the showroom for others to touch
