That is not 229.5 approved...the weight is correct, but it does not meet the specification.

That list is incomplete, there are many more oils than are listed there, I reference the manufacturer webpages.

08' S550,,,C63!
I believe it is just a sensor, I check the dipstick and the oil was on the second red tab which is in the dipstick.

Is the this correct because doesnt the dipstick suppose to have a Min and Max level on it and mine doesnt. So I simply went by the second top red tab.

Thanks for clearing that up, I was unaware that the change to 5W-40 did not apply to the US

No, no, I haven't had to top off the oil in the C63 yet. The stockpile of Castrol was (and is) for my Audi, as that is the recommended motor oil for the S4. I was just (wishfully) thinking that it was also the correct viscosity for the C63 as well, that's all.

hmm, i m hitting 9000KM mark i think this week... i have used like 5 - 6 bottles already...

is anything wrong? when the check engine oil thing pops up i just put another bottle in, less than a month ago i put a bottle in and now its up again... Hmm?

So i bought a whole case from my local MB dealership

they gave me a discount at under 9 dollars / bottle

0W-40 is what i bought
