Maybe selling my C63
Guys, I bought my AMG in Aug because I had serious back problems and
I thought my 911 days were over (getting in and out of a low slung car)
The surgery was successful and I am looking to get back into a 911.
My car is black on black with clear bra. the MSRP was 67,500. It has the
performance package with OUT the overly stiff springs. It has the LSD
and the delimited speed package. Full nappa leather and heated seats
Full Nav and Ipod interface.
I think I will sell it if the deal is right. It has 2500 miles and I broke it in the hard way. EXCRUCIATINGLY slow driving with no revs over 4000. NO Manual mode or sport driving till just about 1000 miles.
MB has cut production to keep sales up. I wont give it away but I dont want MSRP either. Just a fair deal for both parties otherwise I will keep it.
I have treated the paint (not including the Clear bra for 1000) and the leather and its just broke in. Email me at paulgt3@gmail.com if you are interested.
Regards

Try putting it up for $60,000 or somewhere around there. Just for the heck of it and see what bites. Good Luck.

AMG C63
I expect 10ish. When 2007 GT3s were selling below MSRP in east they were selling for 15-20k over MSRP out here.
And there is no urgent need to sell it.

I was at the dealership yesterday and they had a c63 for 87500. not sure if it was fully loaded or not but it seems like a high price when you can get an m3 for 60k. Good luck on your sale

Whaaaa? Is this what happens when you have too much time to think while in recovery???
On one hand -- bad time to be playing the new car shuffle. On the other hand -- it's good to know what you want. If you get another Porsche, will that be the cure you're after?

Wifey is not really happy about selling
so I dont know. I own the thing outright, and I have no need to sell so I could just keep it.
I love this MB world I have found. Lots of new friends and I will keep those friends. Lots of passion here just like the P world. But I really miss the 911 in my garage. Its painted with a huge Porsche emblem on the wall and the LeMans Gulf Blue and #20 next to it.
I should have got a black series and be done with it.

That'd work for me if I was in the same position as you.

Yea, just keep it and get a TT to compliment. I bet you've already picked out your options. Did you see Coochas's new TT. The interior with the deviating stitch is freaking insane!!

Second, I fail to undertand your logic? Here's are my thoughts on your most recent post:
* If your friends on this forum are really friends, they won't leave you because you ditch the C63. If anything, they'll likely appeciate your insights on the Porsche. So any post w.r.t. Porsche vs. C63 is welcome on this sight IMO. You say you'll keep those friends anyways, so what does that have to do with your decision to sell the C63?
* You say you really miss your Porsche in the garage, but make no mention of missing the driving experience. Maybe that's what you meant, but it was unclear to me.
* You then finish your post with, "I should have got a black series and be done with it". What? What does that have to do with your passion for Porsche?
Sounds as if something is missing in your life and you're trying to fill it with exciting cars. I'm not saying that's what's happening here, I'm saying that's what it sounds like to me. The new car excitement quickly wears off (I know, see my sig). I believe you also know this as well, as I'm somewhat familiar with you car history, but not completely.
And to ensure this post keeps on point to C63's and whether you should sell or not, I vote, no, don't sell. Try to experience more appreciation in what you have with the C63 than what you might have in another car.

Taylor You have made LOTS of good points. My car history is this 97 993 Turbo
Got involved with the track crowd and went to the track and tried to make my 993 TT
like a GT3. So I bought a 996 GT3 (should have kept that one) and then my back started to deteriorate. I got a 997 GT3 still thinking I was a hard core driver. But as my back deteriorated I went to the track less and less. In the mean time my wife has had 2 335is
and one Z4M. I sold the GT3 and bought the AMG because I wanted to keep a hard core car but I had given up on being a Porsche guy because my back had deteriorated to the point it hurt to get in and out of the GT3. I had not found a solution to my back at that point and gave up on the 911. 2 months later I found out I could have my back repaired
(and the constant leg pain) I had surgery and I am at least 90% better. A little back pain but not enough that I have to be coddled. Now that I am healing and the pain has deminished I wish I had my 911 back. Given I went through a life changing event
I dont think I need to be hard core although I love the whole GT3 GT2 scene, I dont think
I will be able to physicallly track as much as I want. I think the Turbo is a good compromise for what I would like. I have been a 911 guy since I was 10. Now that I dont have one I miss it. THe TTs have fallen to what I think is a solution to my needs (wants)
I have gone through the gamut of 911s and I think I should have stayed with the Turbo.
I have done this without getting hammered financially I have really only lost taxes.
I think I cna settle down with this car and be satisfied for a long time
( I might have said that before)
