Mars Red Owners: Any regrets? Don't make me go silver...
I know that Iridium Silver is the "classic" Mercedes color. And that it's the most popular one. And good for resale value.
But it just seems very "ordinary" to me even though the C63 does look gorgeous in almost any color.
So I'm thinking about going the Mars Red/Black Interior route. It seems a bit flashy to me, but not overly so. More importantly though, it seems like Mars Red implies a more aggressive "car personality" so to speak....
To be honest, the color in direct sunlight is a bit "too red" for me. But when in the shadows or in the morning/evening/night, I think the red turns a bit darker and looks amazing.
Any regrets from existing Mars Red owners?
Thks for the feedback,

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the reinforcement.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know why the Iridium Silver paint option is more expensive than the Mars Red one? What is it about "metallic" paints that makes it pricier?

Also, got any shots of your car with the clear reflectors (the ones that replaced the stock amber ones)?
Thanks!

I really like the Mars Red too--but I'm afraid so will Johnny Law!! (and jealous vandals too)
BTW I'd have to say that Black is the most popular, no--at least here in New England it is.
I think I'll end up with another Black Benz, but that Mars Red is tempting!!!

Probably because the paint has metallic flake added to it, which gives the paint a subtle sparkle to it in certain lighting. Almost all metallic paints are more expensive options. Doesn't necessarily make it a better option though. On certain cars in certain colors I prefer non metallic paint.

U should paint the outline of the wheel with a red stripe...or is that too ghetto lol? Also if you smoked the clear corners black with the mirrors it would be a sick black on red theme....
