hmm i have been looking in to jammers / radar detectors too

I would Not recommend a LI self install, sensors need to be placed/ installed balanced correctly. You should get a professional, I'm pretty sure I could have figured it out but I'd hate to spend all this money and then find out I installed it incorrectly by getting tagged with laser... As far as raidar detectors, I'd stay clear from the 9500CI but go for the 9500XI, which works great for the LI/ XI combo price.

Legal in most states.. some states have laws that prohibit...such as California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennesse, and Virginia per the below wikpedia information:

Not laser related but radar, when I was in the USAF in the early 80's I had a friend with a Corvette and he mounted a radar jammer from a B-52 (don't ask how he got it) in the car. I was with him on the thruway when his detector went off, he shut it off and turned on the jammer. When we crested the hill we saw the state trooper out of his car throwing a smoking radar gun down the road.
