Ok, so in order to step this story up, a little of my background information is required: So I'm a minor league baseball player with the Minnesota Twins, and right now I'm stuck in Fort Myers, Florida (Fort Misery) for spring training. If you don't know what spring training is, its basically the equivalent of what boot camp is for someone in the military; not in terms of difficulty but something that is obligatory before the season starts. Its brutal, not fun in anyway for anyone that includes players, coaches, staff, both in the minor and major leagues. To top that off I'm out here without my car because I'm gonna be shipped off somewhere to some minor league affiliate and spring training is 28 days so I'd rather not pay twice to get the car shipped. So I'm stuck buming rides from the other guys to go to the field/get food/whatever...i miss my car

While I'm gone my Dad decided today to take care of some things that had to be done to the car before it was shipped off (service, get a scratch fixed, stop the sunroof from spazzing out), and took it to a body shop and then Mercedes of Calabasas. Everything was done and he called me and told me that everything was fixed and the car looked great. He even sent me some pictures. Literally 3 min after had given me a good report he called me back and said that there was a problem...

Apparently while he was inside paying he said there was a crashing sound, and ran out to the car. Not surprisingly some woman (other words came to mind) in a Lexus(what the hell was she doing there) decided to s h i t on my day and back directly into my car. From my understanding she smoked the back fender arch, which is double sheet metal (double something) which means the dent cant be "popped" out. So now it needs to go to the body shop and they have to take the rear fender arch out, pound it out or whatever it is that they do and most likely it will miss its shipping date. That means it'll come about two weeks late. Sweeeeeeeettttttt! Did i mention that i miss my car?

 

Damn! I'd be pissed too. I can only imagine how you must be feeling right 'bout now. Sorry to hear about that, Danny. Just gotta step back, catch your breath, and remember: it's only a car.

Glad no one was hurt. Hang in there.

I used to live in Ft. Myers (now South of Tampa) and it is slow living down there...not much to do except probably the movies. Good luck in spring training and best wishes to getting to the bigs...

 

That sux Danny I know the feeling. Only way to look at it is that maybe something worse would have happened like major damage while it was being shipped. I had o start doing that to keep myself from asking myself "Why does random sh*t keep happening to me?" It could be worse, but a smooth road for a little bit would be nice.

Yeah i guess the dealership is taking care of it cuz my dad hadn't even stepped in the car, LOL. Thanks for all your kind words guys, I've cooled off now but i was pretty heated last night. What he was telling me was that she started to get on him for being pissed. Some people flat out should not be allowed behind the wheel of a car!
