Ugh..... Never parking at the airport again.

Hey guys, new member here. Have been lurking for a while, just never posted. I'm in Atlanta. Anyways, I'm frustrated beyond belief. Just got an 09' C63. Put 2000 miles on it. Parked at the airport in the parking garage completely away from everyone else. There wasn't a way in hell I could get a door ding. I had to walk an extra block just to ensure that nobody would park by me.
Anyways, some idiot decided to use my trunk lid as a resting place for his luggage. Now I have a bunch of scratches and a small ding in the drunk lid (from the luggage bottom feet.) What the hell is with people?

Anyways... hi!

Wally Mart is the same, came out to find a BIG dent in the door even though it was parked way beyond all the other cars. Video showed am old pickup pull along side and the driver got out and left me a present. No tag could be seen.

I'm still waiting on someone to invent electric-field perimeter car alarm systems.

10,000 volts should tell someone quickly to f0ck off.

Make the system based off Keyless Go; the car will recognize it's you within 5 feet, and you can lean, touch, do whatever, electric free, lol.

Walk away, and the field goes back up.

Simple.

The field perimeter doesn't prevent the pissed-off person in throwing or shooting a projectile into your car after they have been zapped. Let's face it, for those those that have nice things, we are constantly under the paranoia of these A55holes.

Thats why a second car (which you don't give a sh*t for) would be the way to go when parking in a large commercialized parking lot. I wouldn't risk the head ache or time spent fixing... In Bklyn its a way of life.

Probably the best solution here, if I'm honest.

C63's should be (in an ideal world) the weekend car, and for everything else, have a beater to tool around in.

Just another reason why everyone needs a truck. Put some deer guards on it and you can beat the **** out of it and not care a lick. Used trucks are cheap.

Plus, most *******s that will purposely "ding" a C63 will respect the truck more than the benz.

I have a beater truck (not really a beater, but a daily driver 2008 Tacoma) I just didn't have time to go all the way home and get it to go back to the airport. I went right to the airport from work and barely made my flight. I was the ONLY car parked where I was. It was at least 30 rows away from another car. I literally parked way out at the end of the parking garage where nobody else was. When I returned, there was a green Bentley GTC 6 spots over and no other cars. LOL.

Also in Atlanta - I've driven my brand new C63 and my brand new 997 C2S (traded for the AMG) to the airport literally dozens of times to travel for work and so far (knock on wood) no damage. I think it partially depends on where you park it.
