Did my dealer install my front plate mount incorrectly?

I'm a little confused as to how I can mount my front license plate.

The back plates are easy. There are four screws equally placed on the plate:

But while the front plate mount also has four screws, they aren't positioned in the same way as the rear plate and therefore won't line-up with the holes in my license plate:

So am I missing something or did my dealer install the front mount incorrectly? Thanks.

Maybe the front only requires 2 screws. Ever thought of that?

The holes in both the front and rear plates are identically positioned though. Notice how the holes in the front plate are much closer to the edges than the rear one.

No flame but your point is what? The rear in most cars gets 4 to avoid the air currents and/or noise when closing the trunk.. The front gets 2 because the air forces it close to the car.

The front plate bracket assembly includes a 4 hole Lexan cover that mounts to the molded base with 4 self tapping Stainless Steel screws

From the looks of your provided pic it appears that there is a difference in size.

I too thought the screws just self tap into the plastic holder. I don't have the front plate on my car though, but I do have the plate holder stored in my garage On the same note, I just cringe when I see those screws drilled into the bumper like that. I know it's the law in a lot of places including mine, and a risk to run without a front plate, but I just couldn't have them do that to my car.

Exactly the same. Same part # and Kit distributed throughout Canada and USA.

Just a different angle

Thanks guys. I didn't realize that the screws were self tapping. I see the four impressions now on the front mount.

Dealer did everything right. My mistake!
