My point exactly.....that's how I was thinking/spending money at 30. Sure seemed like the thing to do at the time and I DID get enjoyment from it so I completely understand

2010 C63, 2003 C230 coupe
Those are damn nice wheels.

When I was 17 I had a $4000 sound system in a $10000 car. Thats almost half the value, these wheels are only about 15% the price of a c63.

Spending that much on a C63 is justifiable. I just didn't have a mortgage wife and son when I was 17. So an extra 10g's is harder to come by.

C63 AMG
you all got point, guys, but this investment really depreciate a lot, not too mention if you damaged a little bit when parking or driving at a bad road...

i recong i will buy a set of premium wheels, that can bring me to every where i want, with pleasure of driving the C63 without worring too much abt damaging these expensive investments.

no more AMG
If any of us think the "upgrades" we do to our cars is an investment, then we are all sadly mistaken.

I think your comments should be put in a better perspective. Saying "a C-Class" is one thing, but we're talking about a C63, which is priced well beyond a "a C Class". Moreso, there is a larger probability that the C63 owner will modify their vehicle than an S65 owner IMO. When most high end wheels will run you $5-$7k, another $3k to get functional performance and something unique...

Besides, the S65 is too heavy for carbon wheels
The C63 is a C-Class. See below for further explanation. The S65 was only used as an example of cost factor.

Actually, that's not a good example at all. You are comparing installing a $10k audio system into an inexpensive (by your implied comment) Honda to installing $10k wheels on a $70k C63? While I agree that there is something called excessive, many would argue that having a V12 TT S65 is overly excessive. It's all relative.
A loaded C350 with all the options a C63 has without its engine and suspension is 51K. I dont know about you but you might as well call it an 80K car. No one pays 70K for a C63. I got mine for 52K. Most for an average price of 58-60K. Spening 1/5th the car price on rims is silly and the equivilent of putting a 10K sound system in a honda.

Now the S65 is a 160K car. 10K in rims is 1/16th the price of the vehicle. That puts things more in perspective. If you can afford putting 10K in rims into a C-Class then you need to buy a more expensive car.

Really? But you will need another $30k to buy the other 3 wheels Besides, most Brabus wheels are cast and heavy. Not until recently did they start marketing forged wheels.
Bring the car for Brabus for a performance package. Not rims.

"The cost of the kit in the United States is $18,000 (not including the cost of installation). Here in the U.S., the Brabus products are distributed by CEC Wheels Inc... out of California.

The Kit includes Tune + air filters + high flow cats." Quote MB Forever

One more thing you got your C63 for $52K during the mark down time due Mercedes marketing
Now they are selling for 80K
Some people have installed HRE's for 6 - 6.5 K it is not that far away from 10K.
