I have about 10,200 miles on my original rears now
About 85-90% of those miles are freeway though, so there's no opportunity to accellerate off the line and burn them up.
They are past the wear bars now, so I COULD replace them, but I don't drive the car in the rain so I'm not concerned. I am planning on 275/35 Nitto NT-05's next.

Might be a dumb question (sorry if it is), but all you people going with some wider tires, you have new wheels as well right? I'm assuming I can't run like 275 in the rear with the OEM rims?

I don't have aftermarket tires so i can't comment much, but from my research 275 should be good with different brands. I don't know what is the widest you could go in the front though.

I've gotten 10,000 km (not miles) on my stock rear tires, but they're really on their last legs. New tires are ready to go on (rears only, because fronts are still like-new), and I'm going with 265/35-18s instead of the 255s.

I'm thinking of going to that size for the next set. I think I'll keep the front size the same.

So the NT05s do stick like glue and the C63 was impressive at the track with them, but I must report that the treadlife is not better than the stock Pirellis. I'm at 2000 miles on the NT05s and my rears are between 2/32" and 3/32" left. Fronts are at 5/32". These only start at 6/32" so that doesn't help either.

Yes discount will mount them and do a good job. Of course each place is diferent, but the Discount Tire place I go do a great job. I get GoodYear F1 A/S for $195 each 275/35 (rear) (to match Tire racks price now) on stock oem rims and never had a problem. Discount also offers free replacment if you get a "nail" in the sidewall as long as you have 3/32 tread left they will replace them for free. So if you get a "nail" in the sidwall you get 2 for the price of one, cool huh?
Also I have ran with stock oem tires and wheels up front with wider 275/35 GoodYear F1 A/S on the rear and never had any problems with "CEL" or adverse handling issues running different brands, differnet setups. When I had to replace the fronts after 30K miles, I went wider 245 and still no handling problems. I have heard that others have put 255 up front but I do guess that will depend on brands, but as for now, there is no issues front or back iin tire rubs, or handling. GoodYear Eagle F1 A/S gives better handling, and can get more miles between tire changes. got 11K on the rears now and ordering tires to put on next week. I feel you can not go wrong with the GoodYear setups for everyday driving. I run 18" not 19" as well.

Another tire question...I'm at 6000 miles and need to replace just the back tires. I was thinking of getting the standard 255/35/18 for the rear Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric. Any problem with running these on the back and Pzero stock on the front? Thanks.

No there will be NO problems running GoodYear Eagle F1 with OEM Pzero on the front. No handling problems (unless you want to go 150 mph plus sustatined). No ABS problems or handling problems. I used 275 GoodYear F1 with Pzero up front for a few thousand miles, and no issues. Go for it.

Can we chat some more on this topic????
I'm about to pull the trigger on these tires this week. I think I could get more life out of my Pzero fronts but I just want to replace all four.

Continental Extreme Contact DW
Will go 235/40/18 front and 265/35/18 rear.
