Octane level.

I run 94 Octane E10 fuel (10%Ethanol)

Anyone else run this in their car? Its available in Canada at most Husky gas stations. Its the highest I can find next to 91oct.

Do these cars suggest 93 oct or higher?

Pretty sure it recommends at least 93. I think you should be fine if you're putting 94.

Have used nothing by 94 since the day I picked her up. If you find even higher, go for it. Just stop when you get to race fuel.

The best we can get in Cali is 91.

Every now and then I'll put in a tank of 100 just to try and clean out the insides from the horriable 91 crap that's being deposited all over the inside of my car, but what can you do.

Has anybody tried any octane boosters e.g. NOS racing formula, Outlaw octane booster...? dose it make a difference and is it worth the 12 bucks.

I have used 104 Black label in my race cars for years. IT WORKS.

Just keep in mind that if your car doesn't need higher octane you will NOT make any more power with it. Actually you will LOOSE a little. Flame propagation, aka speed.

Anyway, yes some work, and NO you don't need them. Unless you get a tune for HIGH octane then let the good times roll

See yeah

California has a custom blend compared to the rest of the US. 76 has the patent on 93 octane which meets that blend requirement. Since no one else is willing to pay, and the gas lines all carry the same base fuel, 93 is not widely available.

You can find some places with high octane, but it is wildly expensive. $7/gal.
76 (98 octane) and VP (Street Blaze 100) are the places to look for this.

93 was available about 8-10 years ago until they dropped it to 91, sucks.

In South Africa we get 95 Octane. The manual on the C63 here suggests 98 Octane with a minimum of 93 Octane (95 and 93 being with a loss in power per the manual)
