At least it looks like it won't break. I've already replaced 2 lower grilles thanks to rocks. Too brittle.

Thanks Guys, Sorry for the delayed response but its been very busy here. In-laws in from Hungary until mid June....

Thanks for all the comments. I am on the fence about the color match trim on the mesh. Under that is a much smaller Black trim. (the color matched trim was overlaid onto of the OEM trim) I may remove the colored trim and just go with the Black. I think it will be less conspicuous and more integrated look. Just need the time to get at it.

RaceMesh Grilles installed Part II

Well I finally found the time to remove the trim and do a second install.

I like it. Defiantly a cleaner more integrated look IMO.

It looks better but you should color match the grill mesh as well.

@NORTH 44 C55 -- I like the idea of a metal mesh for durability. But I would have hoped that they at least match the pattern so that all three panels are either all diagonal or grid. Right now, it looks like your middle grill is diagonal but the left and right sides are grid. Can they fix that?

peabers,

Your not the only one to notice my error on installation. I had a few calls, emails and PM's re the miss match. Thats what I get for doing the re and re with my 3 yr old Son helping...LOL

All fixed and looks great (matched) Will post some photos when I get my camera back from Sony service. Another 3 yr old adventure. The camera lost.

Looks good, I like it better with out the chrome trim...

DO NOT do the whole front grille like that, It will look sooooo cheap and tacky... It looks good the way it is.

Michael asked if I wanted to be the first C63 customer with the upper grille in electropolished SS (in addition to lowers)...has anybody seen a chrome mesh grille on the upper (and thought it looked ok)? My car is black, so I figure it will look better than if it were clashing with silver/palledum. I just don't want to have the car looking cheap. I can't have that (because it wasn't)

My dad has his Caddy STS with chrome grilles, and it looks pretty sharp, but not sure how it will look on the 63.

Appreciate the feedback.

I think you should do it.
I bet Michael will give you a good deal on that grille. If you do not like it, you can always go back to OEM grille and offer RaceMesh to the members here.
There is not many options for aftermarket grilles for C63, so any contribution will be appreciated

Thanks. So the question is should I get one with the center cut out for the MB symbol, or just have straight mess...I think the MB symbol painted black in the middle may be nice.

Are you thinking of a complete grille in RashMesh top replace the OEM Grille or an OEM C63 Grille with RaceMesh behind??
