So, any kill stories?
#2
Lately I leave the kills to my track weekends. The best two of late have been an E92 M3 and a Boxster S. In both cases I let them go by me and then kept pushing until they screwed up and went off track. It can be more fun that way than just walking away from them and never seeing them the rest of the session.
Oh, I also had a guy in my run group this past weekend come up to me as we were staging in the grid and tell me "That car is pretty damn fast." He drives a Z06 and told me that he was behind me going into the front straight at Texas World Speedway. He had his car floored and was barely keeping from losing ground to me. I loved that one!

Usually I do not play on the streets (much ), but last night I just wanted to flex the car’s muscles. A 2002 E500 with a body kit wanted to play tag last night as we were getting on the freeway and the driver gave me a weird look before saying “is that a plain W124 with mods?” For the hell of it I replied yes while my brother sitting next to me started to laugh. I let the E500 get on the freeway first as I followed behind him and when we were side by side, the game started. I lost him after 5 seconds as I dropped the hammer and lost him too fast to even notice that I was at 120mph. I slow down and let the E500 catch up just long enough to drop the hammer one more time and since he was on the passengers side this time, my brother looked over and through his laughter managed to blur out “you should have seen the look on his face, his mouth was dropped open as we pulled away from him” The E500 driver was alone while I had one additional person in the car and a full tank of gas.
That was a fun spanking

i went light to light with a new DB-S aston martin. the distance was decent, about an 1/8th of a mile. he casually looked over at me as we lined up. it was about 9:30 am with no one else around. slow take off, i just kept with him because he obviously didnt know what a C63 was but you could tell that within about 120 feet he became more aggressive with the throttle thinking he would dump me. i let loose as he had nosed up on me and really ripped past him to which he promptly stepped in it. the great thing was we ran to another red light and stopped together. he had a look on his face like "what the **** are you driving?!" i smiled and winked. took a right and watched in my rear view as he quickly did the math with what four door sedan could keep up with his 260,000$ beauty. it was a beauty, and i know wheel to wheel it would have smoked me, but the timing of everything was so perfect...............

I would imagine that the "new" M3, the Z06 and the modded CTSV put up the most fight.

good story, DBS is the most beautiful car for now imo. what a looker.
i cant believe a Z06 couldn't catch you in a straight line. i got spanked by a Z06 on the track at straight and corner. that thing is fasssttt. hell, i even got spanked by a mustang, probably modded on the track, it was embrassing. i admit, it was due to my suckass driving skill, not the car. you must be a experienced HPDE driver to get a Z06 having a hard time to over take you. i would be proud if a z06 driver says the same thing to me. anyway, good story.

2006 Honda Odyssey: you know who you are and you shouldn't have messed with me. Beat him by at least a quarter second the next light 100 feet away. He didn't dare look at me. We both knew who da man was...
...also owned a squirrel last week. Was an accident since I tried to avoid him.

And obviously an 03/04 Cobra with just a pully and tune is going to put 450 to 500 to the wheels, with a lot of them being north of 600, so I wouldn't be embarrased.

So, I doubt the C350 driver was trying to keep your Odyssey from passing him.
