I replaced mine with Goodyear Eagle F1's - Better grip and better wear. Pirelli's suck.

There are several threads on this topic already in existence, just do a search and you'll have more opinions on tires than you can handle!

Get something with a higher treadwear. Kuhmo SPT is not bad.

Can you post a pic of the Goodyear Eagle F1's you have. I just wanted to see which tread pattern they have. Thanks!

The one with the HIGHER TREAD WEAR RATING! But you give up grip the higher you go.

You can get a good pic of the tire on Tirerack. I use F1 all the way around and have had pretty good life out of them. Rear tires have now lasted 11,000 miles and that is with a few black marks left behind, and a lot of quick torque takeoffs. Just got fronts and these now have about 5,000 on them and they look great. I did get 30,000 out of a pair of Pirelli's. wished now we can get that out of the rears. Remember that you loose less tire on cold tire burnouts then with a warm tire burnouts. Just have fun. I got mine at Discount tires and got the free replacment, so who knows I might get a nailed 2x4 in the rear sidewall. hehe Enjoy they are great tires. But its not my track setup, just daily drive setup.

Lol...mine are all-seasons...lol. Still better grip and than the Pirelli's. Already have 6k miles on the F1's (rear) and nowhere near replacing them. Pirelli's only lasted 6k for me.

Those look like the F1 all seasons.. is that what most people are using? How do they compare performance-wise to the stock pirellis?

EDIT: you beat me to it, but anyone else is welcome to chime in. I read about people using F1's all the time, I guess I just assumed they were the summer ones.

Yes those are Good Year Eagle F1 All Season tires. The performance is great and handling is great as well. The treadwear rating is 420 wich is about 2X the Pirelli's. For the Street and every day driving, I use 245/40R18 fronts and 275/35R18 Rears. No rubs even with aggresive driving. Track day setup will be different so not sure how these will handle "track days" but I am sure they will handle great. Works well in rainy days too. Although not much rain here in SoCal, but when someone runs over a fire hydrant, and leaves a flood they work well. Either way you go just enjoy.

Yep. Saved me on more than 1 occasion. Wish I got it earlier though, got my first speeding ticket ever on the 2nd day out with this beast.

The laser jammer was something I was looking into as well, but at the moment majority of my driving is city, and laser isn't something that is used a lot around here (at least I don't think so).

Yea 11K I thought was pretty good. Really need to save a few $$ on tires so I can finish my track setup. I only got about 3K out of stockers, and that was driving them into the ground. The F1's are now near wear bar but since weather here dry most always, and raods pretty desent, I will drive them a little below that.
