I believe it's 6,000 pounds Sterling, not 6,000 euros, so it's even more expensive!

When I saw this thread, I knew it had to be Paul Dalton - and yeah, he allegedly charges up to 5,000 GBP (~$7,500) for a full detail. Pricey... but amazing work. He has his own signature wax, made by Swissvax, that's $1,100 per tub.

I had my Porsche GT3 done by a Licensed ZYMOL guy like Paul here in CA.
It is a trip to see them waxing in that ZYMOL by hand.
He is using PS12 Gel Wheel cleaner I just got some from Greg at D1 10% off (10offMBW). and free ship on Fathers day.
http://www.detailedimage.com/Wheel-Tire-C22/
ZYMOL Looks awesome but it does not last long, I am getting into sealers like Optimum Opti Seal after a ZYMOL car wash soap and ZYMOL Cleaner wax for shine and swirl removal.
My Zymol guys left me with a Wool Car Brush and this stuff called Zymol Filed Spray that is killer, but I switched too the cheaper Zymol detail and I am going to try Chemical guys synthetic detail spray from Greg.
Get into washing and detailing it will save you hundreds and it has some kind of bonding affect between you and your car.
About this paul guy..If I was going to spend all that money on a car detail.
1. The guy show up at my house so my car is not on the road at all.
2. He better bring a pop tent to keep the sun off while washing.
How on earth does this guy get away with charging all that and washing it outside.

Well, he's in the UK. It's not like they ever get any sunshine over there. The sun you see in the video was probably artificially created.

Well... the car's only outside for the basic initial cleaning - the real expertise comes after, but I see your point.

You're right, P21s Gel is a great wheel cleaner - also, not a dig, just FYI, but the OTC Zymol Cleaner Wax is made by Turtle Wax. I highly recommend you try CG's products, I have yet to use one that I wasn't impressed with.

Divine.

Little rich for my blood...

This one's even more

http://www.zymol.com/zymolsolaris.aspx

Allegedly sells for $45,000 - but you probably get free refills.

It is still good stuff though. Why use a pricey carnuba with a sealer like stated
We call it Zurtle Wax.

But aren't a lot of professional detailers now switching over to Pinnacle's Souveran? I've heard some great things about this line of wax and seen some amazing results as well.

It's a nice looking wax, with not-so-great durability. It's not new, so I'm not sure why people would just now be switching over to it?

I don't get it. The most premium type 1 waxes processed on the thighs of rain forrest virgins sells for about $75 per kilo. The palm trees only grow in the Northeast of Brazil. What else is in these waxes that is worth thousands for a fist full?

THIS is some sick wax. DEFINITELY worth the $. It's the only wax I use on the cars. Its just crazy how deep the paint gets. You can't touch Pinnacle Souveran. On dark colors, nothing compares. Paint is infinite pool of "wet" gloss. Unfortunately, 4 or 5 washes, its time to re-wax. But, its worth it. I hit my car with the portercable, Pinnacle Finishing Polish, then Sourvean wax every 6-8 washes. Its high maintenance as hell, but well worth it. Nothing like a fresh coat of Pinnacle. Its totally sick.

You know what, I like the way you question things and not just accept what is handed to you. I do that, and well, a lot of people don't like the fact when I question them. In areas of prices, practices, and just common sense.

I noticed that since I started running a small business I question things a lot more. Things that just don't add up or make sense.

I would like to see some comparisons and tests done on this wax, as opposed to others.

I see this wax goes for $65-$95 for a container, not thousands like the other mentioned earlier but, I have to see it proven.

Meguiars? Zymoil? Mothers? 3M? Klasse?

Carnuba vs Synthetic Sealants- I was reading up on durability and the Sealants last for months as opposed to the Carnuba. It was even suggested to use a Carnuba wax first, and then a sealant.

I found this site: http://www.autogeek.net/carnauba-wax.html

Look at this: 5 Star Shine? Anyone ever use or hear of this?

I've messed with Zymol and Klasse in the past, and they don't compare to Pinnacle in respects to the "depth" of the finish. Souveran is a tough wax to beat. Only crappy part is the life span before another wax is needed.

This stuff is amazing as a pre-wax polish: http://pinnaclewax.com/pin230.html

I posted pics a while back pre wax in one of the threads. I"m too lazy today to find the thread though

A couple things with Souveran:

1. Put it on, and let it completely harden. It says you can put it on and immediately wipe off, but its actually easier in the long run to take it off after its sat a while. If you put it on, and then wipe it right off, you better have 100 microfiber cloths laying around because the stuff "smears" and you'll have to wipe down the car 300 times to get it off. I've found it easier to just let it sit till its fully dry, and then 2 cloths are enough to take it off the whole car.

2. Re-wax the car after 2 weeks from the last time you did it, and the car will shine even more than it did after the first coat. Don't know why, but it actually does. The paint gets even deeper in appearance. You don't have to repolish. Just wash, and apply another coat of wax.

3. Don't bother with multiple coats in one waxing. Just hit it with one coat and that's enough. A second coat won't do anything.

4. Use a SPONGE to apply the wax, just like the one that comes with it. Don't use anything else cause all you'll do is waste wax. I've tried using microfiber cloths, microfiber applicators, etc. The best thing I've found to date is that cheap $0.30 sponge applicator they give you with the wax.

5. Don't put it on too heavy. A small amount of this stuff goes a long way. Doesn't matter how heavy you put it on, it makes no difference. It should be no effort to take off at all.

Throw in "Gieselle" and it's all good.
