Wounded beast :(
Just proved again.... Traction off, rain and cocky attitude leads to this:
I am not going to get on to embarrassing details, but in short - spun 180 degrees and hit a curb. Looks like wheel is gone, axel and God knows what else There is no damage to the body. I can't even imagine how much is going to cost to fix it. Shop was already closed today and only opens on Monday....

damn, sorry to hear! I did the same thing to my c55, except I understeered into a curb hard and messed up my front right wheel/suspension. I had to replace several suspension pieces and the wheel and it cost me ~1500 to fix mainly because my friend and I did almost all the labor ourselves and I had a discount price on OEM parts. Hope it doesn't cost that much to repair!

we all do studip things... at least your ok and it could of been worse. And i give you applause for admiting it and not saying " dam dog jumped in front of me"..
You would be suprised that is the most common type of damage i see at my shop
if your lucky its just acouple of links and control arm maybe the spindle. I rarely see axles get bent from that

Sorry to see this. But kudos to you for your admission and learning a big 'ol lesson, as they say. And very lucky not to have done damage to pets and humans.
The track is where it's at. Or, at the very least, wide open empty country straightaways early, early in the morning. Rain is not where it's at.

Sorry to see this. That is what happened to me when I get hit by a taxi but my wheels bend the other way. (you can see the picture in my post). After they fix it one month ago I discover the wheels got a neg camber because the sub frame is bend now is in the repair shop again to have it fix. Make sure they check the frame.
Good luck

The lesson to be learned from this is not so much not 'turning tc off', but realizing it might be a good idea if you own a performance car, it might be a good idea to improve your car control skills.
Don't be too hard on yourself, it might have happened with or without tc. But you have to remember that your right foot is in control of ~500hp.
I instruct for several car clubs and the first thing I do with beginners is take the tc off and have them go for it, and see if they have any skills. The guys with the biggest egos, usually are the most hopeless. But if I can get them to leave the ego in the parking lot, they actually learn something.
Have fun and be safe...

Ouch, you learn the hard way, not to sound so cliche, but I bet you wont be doing that again, besides, it could be so much worse.

Is that the new C63 with 4 wheel steering? j/k
That's an easy fix that can be installed and re aligned in half a day once all the parts are on hand. My buddy did the same thing in his (non M-B)car years ago...........except his wheel broke the hell off(sheared the hub in half) and he drove home on 3 wheels. Live and learn

That sucks, but like everyone else has said, could have been worse. NO body damage and no damage to you. That's the important thing. Cars can be replaced, people cannot.

Yeah. It's one of those things - mom said don't put your fingers in the power outlet. But wait, maybe my fingers are super special and nothing will happen? Let's try.....

i watched a guy bounce his 400+ hp GTO off a tree because he gave it too much gas on a wet curved ramp (mistake #1), kept his foot on the gas long enough to go completely sideways (mistake #2), over-corrected to go completely sideways the other way (mistake #3), then failed to gain control and went into the trees (mistake #4). He did all this below 35 MPH, so he must have tried really hard to screw up so many times going that slow.
