Before I forget, I also want to thank all of the members that recently posted up Discount Threads on the C63.

Hope you didn't pay too much. Those people have the absolute worst reputation in Southern California (owned by AutoNation.)
But it sounds like they treated you well. Maybe they're trying to clean up their act.

Who I wouldn't deal with is Fletcher Jones in Vegas or any non-national chained owned dealership in Vegas. I bought my '08 Acura RDX last year at an independently owned dealership last year and they made it feel like they did me a big favor. Before that, I purchased an Infiniti FX-35 by another locally owned dealer and they wanted to tack on VIN etching even when the vehicle is at port before it was delviered to the dealer! Vegas is a different beast before Autonation Moved in. It was run by the "good old boys" network and only a few families controlled all the dealerships. The only exception to a Vegas dealer I would deal with is run by the Findlay family.

Last time I was there, they were handing out customer service evaluations left and right. They know they need to shape up. It's not business as usual. AutoNation has been losing a lot of money lately (like everybody else) and they've been closing dealers to cut losses.
But MB South Bay still tries to pull bone-headed stuff. Take a look at the link I posted.

Hopefully the C63 didn't get too dirty on the way home.
A pick up from the airport sounds like they really went out of their way for the good customer service.

They even gave us an additional discount to offset the cost of the flight. Last minute flights costs a little more. It would've covered my flight and breakfast, but I wanted my wife to come along.

I had a good sales experience with MB of South Bay as well. They were straight-up, no BS or games. I drove up in my Evo 8 at almost closing time, and got to test drive a new C63 right then and there. That was in May 2008 when there were no cars on dealer lots and if there were, good luck getting a test drive. They treated me with respect and got me the car I wanted 3 weeks later.
oh yeah .. p.s. -- nice collection you have there!

Which led me to getting an '09 from a dealer.
Enjoy your new ride!!
