Dealer located my exact car at the distribution center

I hear of some of the great discounts, 10 to 12K or more off MSRP, but would you expect that much from a car that the dealer gets from the distribution center? It's the exact car that I want, every option but the PP and tele aid, w/ the CF trim. I know the trim is expensive, but I can't get over the walnut trim look in this car. Also, I suspect that this car has the lowest miles on it possible, hasn't been test driven or demo'd. So to me it's worth it to pay a bit more for that. Thoughts? FYI, right now I have about 10.5K off MSRP for this car.

If that's THE ONE you want, then get it @ $10.5k off MSRP...not the best deal but not the worst deal either.

That's what I was thinking. I figure some of these super deals have been at dealers that have had the cars for a long time. It's a big $$$ purchase for me, so just wanted to be sure. When I bought my '01 E55 back during the internet boom, just before the bust, the dealer beat me up pretty good. Thanks!

the dealer might not be as willing to put out such a great deal if the car isnt in his inventory. if a car is in the dealers inventory, he has a set period of days before he has to pay for it. once he pays MB, he starts paying interest expense (floorplan) on it. if that car is in his inventory for a while, and hes been putting money into it, thats where you will find your best deal. sometimes even below invoice if the car has not seen a lot of activity. also the same if he is taking a trade from you. he now has to immediately flip your trade, or it will be his cash sitting on the lot, where before it would be sitting in his account. you can still negotiate a good deal using the incentives that MB is offering the dealers, it just might not be the lowest number out there.

depends on who holds their notes. Floor plan is how the dealer finances cars while they sit on their lot. those rates will vary depending on who lends them the money, just like you and I, but bigger..

I would pass on CF trim for $2.5K (you can get aluminum if you don't like wood) and get the 030 (PP) for $4K not much difference in numbers but a I think it is a huge difference in "drive feel" Just my 0.02

Yeah...I can't argue with the cost of the CF trim, but with the $$$ I'm spending anyway, I'd just rather be satisfied from the start. I went back and forth about the PP, but since I plan to do a Kleeman or Evosport upgrade, that took care of that. I also wanted a true LSD. If I recall isn't the one offered in the PP an electronic LSD?
