After owning the c63, I am a AMG customer for life
I never thought I'd become a fanboy, but after driving the c63 and just owning a AMG, I feel very lucky and special to be driving such a sophisticated machine. I originally bought this car thinking it would be another 2-3 years before I can puchase my real car, the RS5, but after driving it for a few months and experiencing owning a AMG for myself, I can say I am hooked for life. My plan was to get out of the c63 in 3-4 years, but now I might even buy another one if a 2011 or 2012 model comes with MCT and or a special 520 hp version. I also wanted to puchase the RS5 which I may still do but I also want to consider the e63 (with MCT) as a luxury car.

A few year ago I drove my friends C32 and it was brand new. To be honest I was quite disappointed with its performance. This generation of AMG cars are definitely a lot better. I'm not even including the AMG Black Series lineup which is on another league of its own.

Well, the boys at the MB AMG division have finally begun to compete with BMW, imho. Before, the AMG's were just very fast in a straight line with monster engines, but without any mods, they were also not very sporty; still mostly a high-end, faster luxury model.
I understand the E55 with the S/C'd engine was very fast; many say faster than with the current 6.2L N/A engine, but again, without mods, it wasn't really known as a competitive sport sedan on the street or the track (except in a straight line); just a faster, more prestigious luxury model for the wealthy folks.
I think the C63 AMG and the AMG Black Series models have in fact changed this; the boys at the MB AMG division have finally realized that there IS a real "enthusiast" market for a competitive, sporty AMG that can go head-to-head (finally) with the BMW M3, Audi S4/RS4, etc. The C63 AMG is still a prestigious AMG model, it's very fast, it can actually handle very well in the turns, and it sounds like a racecar! The C63 AMG seems to have the entire package, and the AMG division designed that way on purpose!

Call up Cory@Kleemann or GMP Performance and ask for the Kleemann K2 package (ECU and Headers), you'll end up with a C63 rated at 530-540hp and torque is up as well without needing to buy another one. There are many happy owners with thie setup that takes the C63 to a new level of ferocity.

Well, BMW is doing it right in a way.... they should let people have option... at school so many people try to make fun of me for not driving a stick saying that i like cars and **** and i dont know how to drive stick (Until I drove a manual lamborghini to school) But if they have choice that will open this car to a whole bigger group of people....

I agree that AMG finally stepped up with a true sports car that has it all (except manual). Which is why I switched from BMW as have many others. If AMG keeps it up I may never by anything else.

Hmm actually its not my parents nor its mine, i have a friend who got his license taken away and i had the advantage of having the keys and he let me take it to school... but hours later i was sent home because the car was too expensive... lol
it was either i brought it home or get suspended for a day...
but nonetheless my next car ( i m wishing to get ) will be the LP560
but with the financial issues the world is having i'd wait till later when everything picks up
