Yeah, I prefer the maturity level here, too. For the most part it's a lot better than that 'other' forum.
But you know what they'll say on E90Post: "I told you so, MBs are for old farts who can't drive a stick."
Seriously, read some of what's on there, they're like little kiddies.
I just tell them that my job as a greeter at WalMart has allowed me to buy my Grampa-mobile E63

In fact this weekend I am driving down the Great Ocean Road for the second time. You guys in the US look it up on Google - it is in Victoria, Australia and is one of the great driving roads in the world.
I have used the car on circuits and am now looking at hil climbs.
What a car!!!

39 yrs old with a 20 month old boy who on rare occassions gets to here this monster on full song......he smile, kicks his feet and waves his arms, loves it...oh and a baby girl who should be out in our world in about 6 weeks, yikes, the wife is going to be busy

Oh, WTF-ever....this is is the same forum that hatched threads like "Hot girl drives next to you - do you look?". The internet is the home of asshattery and douchebaggery, and this forum is no exception. Money != maturity, as the same things happen on BMW/Porsche/Audi forums too. The most civil/adult place I've seen so far is the AMG private lounge.

43 and loving every minute in the C63 when i get the chance to drive it.
Daily driver is a diesel 2007 ML320 (what a change when you go from the C to the ML!)
I need the size and space the ML offers because of annual tailgating at Rutgers Football games.
However, without any doubt, the C63 is the best sports car I've owned.
Thank you Mercedes Benz for letting AMG create this car!!

C63 AMG, BMW 135i
I’m 49 and retired. I’ve owned nothing but V8’s since I was 17, all modified and all manual until recently. The BMW 135i is my first non V8, I love those twin turbos and it’s great for weaving through the city traffic. The C63 was a hard decision over the M3 simply because it’s an auto. Though after just one day I knew I’d made the right decision and the sound is in keeping with my previous rides.

I"m 35 and loving my C63!!
My first car was a 1986 Subaru GL10 4WD Turbo that I bought from a friend for $1000. Traded the Subaru for a new Nissan Maxima SE in 1994, 1999 moved to NYC, no car until I moved back to DC (08).

For you, very cool! I do question your parental figures decision making ability unless you are part of the make a wish club.

Good for you ; love to hear that...not too many 25-year-olds can truthfully say what you just said. Most guys your age who are fortunate enough to be driving such an awesome and expensive sports sedan take it for granted that mommy and daddy handed them the keys on a silver platter.

Congrats, man...sounds like you have a wonderful family, and you're training your baby boy early on the wonders on sportscars! Funny, b/c my 7 1/2 year-old daughter said to me yesterday that she likes my car, "except for the loud noises it makes." LOL!!!! So, my wife says to her, "but that's one big reason why daddy loves it so much."

I can't believe you posted that, but, I did get a good laugh out of it. I hope your parents will be sending you to school on how to handle that kind of power for a first time driver and car.

age of C63 driver
I guess I am the "ole guy" will be 71 in 2mos. Love cars always have and hopefully have many more miles and cars to enjoy. Having a blast with the C63. Getting ready to have an ECU tune and installing headers. We have a shop that does performance upgrades to Corvettes. Already surprised several of them with the C63.

We have similar taste in cars. V8's rule! I'll be picking up a 135i for a commuter car soon.
Let's hear it for civility, comraderie and an appreciation for performance cars, no matter how old or young we are

Good stuff, before I purchased my c63 I was looking at the 135, my fiancee told me to buy something I'll love so I bought the c63 instead. :o but next year I'll be purchasing the 135 when she's done with school and she can help me out with the bills.
