I often feel a rumbling/shaking sensation when I coast to a near stop. I assumed it was normal.
Now I am cuious and wonder if anyone else have this?

i had the light shaking also. it does fell like motor mounts, but i was sure that the car has some pretty tight motor bolts from the factory, and it went away at about 4000 miles. if its just the motor shaking i thought or engines were factory balanced and that would keep it from shaking?

2009 C63 Black on Black
Up to the 10,000 mile service my C63 never did shake/vibrate at idle!
As I turned the ignition when I picked up my car after the 10K service the car "shook"

I thought WTF happened! Then I realized the dealer must have reflashed my ECU over the Powerchip Tune.

As in the c63 forum thread "PowerChip?" https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...powerchip.html
I talk about my reflash and elimination of the problem!
Good luck on getting rid of this problem!

Is there a problem with the flash? I wouldn't think the motor mounts could be trashed on a new Benz????

Uh....no.
This is a C63, not a Olds 422. The motor shouldn't shake the car significantly (in stock form).

My GM LS powered cars with big cams shake and I love it. In fact they also do to a minor extent in stock form, it's tuned into them. I do notice the occassional shake with my C63 on startup and it disappears in about 20 seconds. Unless you hate it, I'd consider it normal for any V8 powered vehicle to want to show it credentials.

normal operation for the engine to have a little shake at idle. after a reflash the engine adaptations for fuel and crank shaft sensor usualy are erased and have to be readapted over time, the engine will shake as it trys to find its happy place. techs just ship the cars and do not perform adapts as the car adapts itself over time better then the techs can. but a little shake at idle is with most 63 vehicles

mine was the air temp intake sensor making it run rich at idle. they ordered a new one for me. noticed that the oil temp is all over the place too after this latest ecu update.

LOL....Its a big v8 so it shakes? pretty easy to spot those who have never owned a performance vehicle before.
The stock 6.2 doesn't have lumpy cams, it should not noticeably shake at idle.

I took the car back to the dealer with pictures of the dipstick and the SA said it had at least 1/2 quart overfilled.
![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
When I picked up the car, the SA explained that oil is not filled based on dipstick level but on the electronic filling station and it was out of calibration.
![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
After the oil level was corrected, the shaking disappeared.
Owners that experience the shaking/vibration, especially at startup, might want to check the oil level. There is an over-fill sensor, but 1/2 qt over is not enough to trip the sensor.

Great information! I will relay this info to my delaer when I go back in.
The shaking has not gone away after over 60 miles of driving, so I'm convinces it's something beyond a simple reflash adapt.

I experienced the same thing at the 10K service. At first, I thought I was imagining it, but after 2 days of shaking, I looked at the oil level and noticed it was above the high mark.
