Anyone try this?
how much additional clearance did you get?
I'm trying to see if there is way to fit lower offset wheels without having to cut the fenders..

What offset and size of rear tires are you trying to put on? I slapped my old 9.5" et41 w/ 265/30/19 Brabus reps and it stuck out about 10-15mm too far out. I looked like a Dubber.

You will need to do what Josh did with his 63 and do custom bodywork to fit that. There really isn't a lot of metal there to fold back and fit larger wheels/tires.

2 methods
1) heat gun and a rubber mallet.
2) fender rolling tool.
just take it easy. Cracked paint is pretty common but with MB paint that is still relatively fresh I have had good luck. Never cracked a thing. Older cars will crack just since the paint is so dry.

Heated the fender with a heat gun and used the fender rolling tool. Im running 10x on 285/25/20 with H&R springs without any problems now. You can see some pictures here:

Yeah, we went full bore widebody with the beast. 1.75" flare on each side. I'm planning on running 315/25-19s on 11" HREs in back. I think I'm pretty close to 600hp at this point, so I want as much rubber on the ground as possible. The car is so, so very close to being done right now, and I'm waiting to post any more pics until it's finished.
Before we cut the fenders they were rolled, and it got a little more clearance, but I think a real widebody is the way to go to get the proper rubber on the ground.
Take care,
Josh

There are no welds on the 1/4 panel wheel openings like every other M-B. The 204's 1/4s are only seam sealed to the outer wheel house from the rocker cover to the rear bumper. If you really did take a heat gun and rolling tool to your 1/4 panel then you most likely separated the 1/4 from the wheelhouse. I bet if you take the wheel off and point a flashlight straight up you will see the two panels (now)separated.

Anyways, so when are you going to show us your painted rear fenders?
