Would a K1 or K2 take down a C6 Z06? Cuz I know a stock c63 would get their doors blown off. Anybody ran one lately?

Uhmm, I think the Z06 will still pull on a K2 C63AMG. Bad C6 Z06 drivers still do 117mph on the Z06 on the 1/4 mile. Many people ran low 11 at high 120 and the record on C6Z06 is 10.98@129mph done by two people with a bone stock C6 Z06.

Search for Ranger and search for Jamie furlan, they both ran high 10's sec on their Bone stock Corvette.

My own Z06 trapped 122mph bone stock inthe summer here in Tucson at 3100ft, doing the conversion on the NHRA altitude chart that is like 126mph at sea level. I don't think the C63 would win but it would be very close.

Some facts:
my bone stock Z06 put down 457whp/427lb-tq on a dynojet on 91oct
It put down 558whp/510lb-tq (Dynojet) with head work, QM600cam,ported TB and intake manifold,LGMotorsport headers and killer bee air filter+tune

fully modded C63 would lose to a stock C6 Z06 unless driver doesnt know how to shift. drivers the same, Z06, no doubt.

It would be a different history with the regular C6 vette with the new LS3 motor. This is how I personally would compare them:

stock C63 AMG faster than the first gen C6 with LS2 motor
stock C63 AMG about as fast as the new C6 with the LS3 motor
stock C63 AMG slower than any year C6 Z06
C63 AMG with K2 faster than the C6 LS2,slighty faster than the C6 with LS3 but still a little slower than the C6 Z06.

The Z06's 3100-3150lbs curb weight and tiny drivetratin loss of about 11% and its power = superior power to weight ratio than the C63 amg

Stock Z06's can trap 122-125mph in the 1/4 mi., so even a heavily modded C63 AMG will get walked by a Z06. Then, if the Z06 is modded, you will be many, many bus lengths behind. My good friend has a slightly modded '08 Z06, and although he said my (stock) C63 "felt" almost as fast as his Z06, he said the Z06's power and speed are very deceptive b/c it just keeps pulling HARD in every gear and the gears are very long; the Z06 reaches 60mph in 1st gear!!!!!

stock z06 will even pull on F430 slightly but i think C63 will be able to keep up(hoping)

well for the ones who said that the z06 can beat a modded c63 ur wrong dads63 raced one tonight and beat it by 2 cars up to 160... i raced one yesterday and he got jump on me and i still reeled him in .. and dads63 and i race all the time i know how fast his car is . i run very low 11's and when my iat's r cold i only pull on him alittle bit , but if we keep running without me cooling down he can get me

yah....maybe a C5 Z06, definitely not a C6 Z06. i hope you know the difference.

i'll believe your story when i see a video of it to confirm its a C6 Z06 and not a C5 Z06....

and i'm not hating on C63s. It's probably my favorite car right now. i just know that no modded C63 is "reeling in" a C6 Z06 unless its twin turbo'd........sorry

it was newer body style not the 02-04 ... i raced 07 z06 in my car yesterday and was faster then him and u see what my car runs.. gonna try and get video of my friends z06 and dads63 running tomorrow .. but i get what ur saying but keith is a very honest guy and he had a witness

I did run across a new C6 Z06 last night that must have some mods. I know he at least had an exhaust. I would like for someone to find out who it was and see what year his car is and what mods he has. We ran last night on the bridge(he'll know) up to a very high number and when we started at 80(not good for the C63 because thats the bottom of fourth gear) he pulled a car on me until about 100 or so. Then from there on I very slowly got past him. When he changed gears at a high speed I finally got about two cars on him until we let off.

If anyone knows who he is I would like to know more about his car. It was a newer Z06, red in color, and had an exhaust of some kind. He followed me from Rhinehart road until 434 in Oviedo Florida. He'll know. It was a VERY CLOSE and fun race.

A friend of mine was following us and watched the whole race. Maybe I can get him to chime in. It was fun and we do stand a chance.

What I don't understand is the Vette group saying a highly modded C63 doesn't stand a chance against a stock C6 Z06. Whats up with that??

They guy prob didn't know how to drive his car, the Zo6 is in a different league all together idk how you can compare a sedan to a small sports car, both cars are RIDICULOUSLY FUN. Exactly why i have both

well i have raced z06's at track and haven't been beat yet .. if a modded z06 ran then yes it would beat me but not stock for sure.. the yellow one i told u about is a friend of mine and he has been drag racing 25 yrs so its not the driver ..
