Quote: i love the c63 but there is no way it will keep up with a z06. Even the 2012 GTR has trouble with Z06's.

This video i took from the passenger seat of my friends GTR when he ran a Z06 should prove what im saying.

Seems like the C63 kind of struggles to keep up with a lot of stuff. I know for a fact that a moderately modded 335i will easily keep up with the C63. I really get a kick out of reading these posts where people blatantly deny that even a modded 335i could ever keep up, let alone beat a C63--denial much? I especially liked the guy saying he "skeets" on bimmers in his C350

I would classify this as a "heavily" modded 335i versus a C63 (with a tune and headers which puts it only slightly faster than a stock C63 with PP). Anyway, this is a stupid debate... of course an already nice car (like a 335) can be modded to be faster than what is otherwise a much faster stock car. There is very little a few $$ into a car can't fix relative to speed.

C63 is a totally different class and should not be compared with 335i..

modded evo beating a C63 is cool but it will still remain a lancer!

but if all you want is a faster machine then here is one for you

I've heard 335's are kind boat-like if you know what I mean. I've also heard that the E46 chassis is a much better one.

something similar happened to me yesterday these guys in a sleeper 335 looked completely stock either has upgraded turbos or BOV. sounded nice i knew it was a sleeper they wanted to race me. they were much older than me but acted immature about their car. funny thing was they were like lets race for pinks while a cop was next to them

Stock 335 over here has a o-100kmh time of 5.5, C63 stock is 4.5. How is a stock 335 going to stick with a stock C63?

It would need to be HEAVILY modified. See the video I posted above. A simple tune on a 335i will not "walk" a C63 with the PP. The car in the video had a tune, meth, etc... and still lost. I have no illusions that the C63 is something it isn't but a tuned 335i is comparable to a stock M3 with DCT and we know what a C63 with the PP will do to a stock M3 A C63 with either a tune or the PP is an 8.6s car to 100mph... that is pretty fast by any measure and it would take a lot for a 335i to be faster.

Seems to me a modified anything could be made to "walk" a stock anything. Curious to know what you believe a "tuned" 335 would do the 0-100 (62 mph) in? If a stock C63 is 4.5 is "walking" less than 4 seconds?

how about a more apple to apple comparison... a tuned 335 vs a tuned c63.

no offense to the original poster and people who keep saying a tuned 335 can beat a stock c63... but aftermarket mods vs a stock car really isnt a good comparison.

My friend has a 012 335xi with some mods he won't tell anyone, and i beat him with my stock c63 6/6 times. The only thing he could say after was " your car is modded bull**** stock is that fast"

apples to apples the c63 no doubt.....but its a lot easier to get more power from the 335... i know from my 1.8t Audi A4 i am putting 328 AWHP...i love my C63 but damn i love Boost.....a C63 turbo charged would be an absolute monster

I would take an all motor V8 over FI any day of the week. For me, the sound, grunt, and responsiveness of a V8 is soooo much better than the woosh under the hood of a charge.

Also, FI is not that great when it comes to long term reliability.

I have 3 close friends with 335s .. 2 are tuned. Not one and I repeat not one can take me on the street or the track (it was my first time out with the C63 and I got him every time even though I was just getting used to the car). It really isn't even close. I know what kind of guys drive these cars and how proud they are to be driving them but seriously they are not all that compared to a C63. Don't get me wrong a tuned 335 is a great sleeper but most aren't as fast as you guys state them to be. The whole point of me saving up for 5 years to buy a nice car (ended up being a C63 ) was that I get to start with a nice car with lots of power. Tuning it makes it that much more of a beast. If I had settled with a 335 and tuned it I would probably be looking for something more right about now. LOL

a jb4 and upgraded turbos would be a better challenge for the c63

Sorry, I don't see a car that struggles to trap high teens on its stock turbos "beat" a car that can trap mid-high 120's (both fully modded). 335 fanboi's... go back to beating M3's from 0 - 120mph (because the M3 will walk you after) in between fixing your HPFP's and the myriad of other issues that plague modded 335i's.

I used to own a 335i (look at sig) and it is a fine ride, but current owners (especially the younger ones who have purchased used ones) are really turning it into the new Civic SI. Anyone old enough to remember ClubSI and the massive trolling back in the day?

Bigger turbos? Sure. Let's strap a super on the C63... or add in some motor work.
