Just curious if you know. What are cars putting down now after just an intake and jb3?
I think I just convinced myself to buy a 335i.
To me what I like over the 335i vs the C63 is(ranked in importantace.)
1. $20k Less
2. Coupe
3. Can get a manual
4. Modability
5. MPG

Many people on the e90post board have done the research:

A group of 335 owners discussing their experience in upgrading their suspension to an M3 suspension...Query: If the suspension is identical, why the need to upgrade to an "M3 suspension"?
I do know about a year ago, Roundel profiled a Schnitzer modded 335. The article basically talked about having to beef up the 335 suspension in order to handle the extra power, since it was not nearly as stout as the M3 suspension.
Also, when the E90 M3 was first introduced, it was widely marketed by BMW that it shared virtually NO parts with any of its 3 series brethren.
Will try to locate my old Roundel issue, but I may have discarded it...
Meanwhile, here's a link as well, although it too is less than authoritative...

Everyone just needs to obey the speed limit. Mercedes designed this 451hp car for the track only. I mean why would you buy a car with that much power to go the speed limit. What's the point? If you are not tracking your car you should have bought a C250. C'mon people get a grip. Do not exceed the speed limit.

C63 AMG, BMW 135i
I must drive like an old Granny as it’s rare for anyone to want to race me. I think most just see me driving a safe Mercedes-Benz but when they do want to try it on, it’s usually at night and a non-AMG C Class Mercedes. I never understand what the attraction is for them.
I’m always polite, I smile and wave and let them through.

C63 AMG
I'm with you, man. The only reason I put my car in "M" mode is so that I can prevent it from shifting into 3rd. 2nd gear is all I need.

I am with you, let them pass. In Sydney i am lucky to get to 70kmh on a good day. I have no interest in racing on the streets, I did that 40 years ago. I love the sound, feel and comfort of the C63. You might ask why then would I buy it? That's simple, because I can.

LOL, ya, I agree 335 owners are like Mustang owners of 10 years ago, complete douchebags for the most part(not all of them) and they all think they have the fastest cars on the road. I have had more than a few of them pull up next to me in my BS and start revving their motors and spooling their little turbos....even a fairly heavily modded one would be hard pressed to hang with a stock C63 or CLK BS. Sometimes I just ignore them but if there is no traffic and no cops sometimes I will take the bait. It usually goes something like this, they jump out to a quick 1 car lead becuase I can only use about 1/4 throttle from a dig on the street but when I shift into 2nd I usually mash the pedal to the floor still spinning my tires as I blow past them and continue to smoke my tires up over 100 mph while still pulling away from them opening up 6, 7, 8 car lenghts in the process. At the next stoplight one of three things happens, the ignore, that's when they are so ashamed they act as if I am now invisible, I usually see them fiddling with an iPod or sending a fake text to their fake girlfriend or I get the dude you're friggin crazy and shouldn't have a license look but every once in a while I get the props thumbs up.
...and for the record Sti owners are just as bad.

I dunno... But, some of those full bolt on 335s with meth are pretty damn quick.
Don't underestimate some of those on the road. They could surprise you!
But with your supercharger you don't need to worry about anything (Just gas hahaha)

It will need full bolt ons, tune and meth injection to just beat a C63.
To "smoke" (Aka annihilate) a C63 it would need a HPF kit.

reporting in to say i can confirm this in palm beach county. got cut off by a revving 335i TWICE. i moved lanes and he cut me off again. got in front of him and i am not proud of my response. the whole thing was ridiculous, i was just trying to enjoy a nice sunday afternoon before the long week ahead.

Lol 335 drivers.. They fail to understand they bought the first loser to the M3.
I have a bunch of buddies with them, and while yes it's fast with mods etc.. It's still a 335.
They fail to understand this. I believe it's a different demographic between 335 and M/AMG owners anyway. The only way 335 drivers appreciate an M3 or AMG is when they actually buy one.

i love the c63 but there is no way it will keep up with a z06. Even the 2012 GTR has trouble with Z06's.
This video i took from the passenger seat of my friends GTR when he ran a Z06 should prove what im saying.

C63 doesnt stand a chance IMO
