335i owners you guys need to calm down

please be mature, 2 335i owners tried to have a race with me on a freeway with speed limit 55 when i was driving to Boston on I95N. comparing to 335i owners, M3 owners are much better.

Agree. "Racing" on the street is all about who wants to be crazier and who wants more to kill themself, their passengers, and innocent bystanders. I've been "beat" by plenty of Camaros, 3 series, Hondas, etc. I may punch the throttle some and then just back off and laugh.

FYI - It's not the car (BMW 335i) per say, it all depends on who's driving them. Tuned 335i's like my previous PROcede v3 335i ran 0-60mph in 4.3 sec. and the 1/4 mi. in 12.8 sec @ 111mph...and all I had was the piggyback. Some more modded 335i's run in the low 12's @ 114+mph. They are fast, and many tuned 335i drivers like to challenge some typically "faster" cars like MB C63's and such. So, again, it's not all BMW 335i drivers; just some who really like to play with others...you may just not be used to it. Having said that, we all know that the MB C63 was designed to challenge and beat the BMW M3 and Audi RS4...with a higher price point and exclusivity, the C63 AMG is at a higher level than the BMW 335i. It is for that reason that many tuned 335i drivers like to challenge C63's, M3's, etc.

Nope, not for a single second...especially when I turn the key of my C63 AMG every morning and hear those amazing exhaust sounds @ startup and when downshifting with that left paddle. But, yeah...gotta give some respect where it is due.

MB’s of all kinds.
I just dont understand the point of having an official race on the street. I just tell people who want to race me when I drive dads Corvette Le Marquis or Porsche Cayman. I just tell them "Lets race on the track not the street. That way when you loose there is no excuse such as. I got cut off or a car was in my way or a pedestrian could of ran out or some other bull****"-- Keep it on the track fellas

no, it's all of them, every single one!

what's a shame is that I would love to have one, the 335 is a great car, but the stigma was just too much and I couldn't pull the trigger.

you know the joke: What's the difference between a cactus and BMW?

Dude, I think you need to calm down, no big deal, you shoulda bought a c300 if you have this kinda attitude. I agree if theirs tarffic or many cars around thats silly and dangerous, but if no ones around give it a go and have some fun in your 451hp beast

Ah i meant STOCK .... But really that wouldnt hurt too much i've lost to cars like modded EVO's before (and they filmed it) so a good beating by a modded 335 wouldnt be so bad.

I think you miss the point sir, all I was trying to say is 335i onwers are more aggressive drivers than m3 owners.

I was just driving home and a white BMW, would say a 335i cos it def was modded and had no M-badges on it, tried to race me. I had my dad in the car so couldn´t take the challenge and felt really stupid about it cos I just got my Kleeman tune and would have liked to smoke him... How fast are the 335s? This car was def modded, could tell from the exhaust. I did a little pull from him and could clearly see I was faster but I thought I would have smoked him even more.. We just did one run from around 40 to maybe 80 and I let down cos there was other cars around and it just wasnt the time or place to race. Anyway, how fast are 335s? With my Kleeman K1 it should be a walk in the park, right?

335 with all the bolts on mods available have around 400whp. So power is very similar to your K1 C63. Fully modded 335i is faster than the stock C63.

No, he is smart and responsible.

Traffic around or not, street racing is stupid, dangerous, and the consequences are not worth it (car impounded, heavy fines, loss of license, etc.)

Perhaps he likes to use his C63 at the road course, which you know, takes some actual skill.

People don't try to race me. Then again I'm almost exclusively city driving and not on the highway much.

I'm not going to race anyone though if challenged.

I also see no point of racing on the streets. But if no-ones around I dont seeing it being much of a big deal if you dont take it to too high speeds! I hate when two cars are racing and changing lanes between cars etc. What is the point in that?? Its plain stupidity.

So a Fully modded 335i makes 400whp... I cant see it being much of race with my modded C63..?
I don´t understand how BMW made this car so close (straight line performance wise) to the M3.. There is a big difference between the C350 and the C63 but the 335i and the M3 is fairly close. Keeping that in mind the 335i seems to be a good buy.

A modded 335i with 400 whp can keep up with a modded C63 actually..

Yup, me another forum member and a forum member on here have tryed it out numerous times.

A modded C63 and a fully bolt on 335i are close but the 335i is a little faster.

a full bolt on C63 and a full bolt on 335i on race gas is probably the best race possible, it will be VERY CLOSE.

When modded and maintained right, a modded 335i will give a heck of a time to a stock C63 and or a tune only C63, you gonna need more than a 100mph to outrun them.

I quite like the current generation 3-series coupe design.

The OP has a point though. Whenever I see one on the street, they inevitably want to race or start weaving in and out of traffic to get your attention. It can be a little bit dangerous.
