First day with my new C63... terrible luck

First day with my new C63... terrible luck
Hello all, I just picked up my new 09 C63 two days ago. Well any how the first day after I picked the car up I was driving down the highway and I noticed a truck on the side of the road readjusting the load he had in the box of his truck. So I moved into the left lane just to give him some space, when out of no where I notice a ribon like thing flying over the back of his turck. Right before it hit my car I saw that the ribon had a metal tie down hook on the end, then bam! I immidiatley pulled over to asses the damage and tear a peice off of the guy. The man that threw the tie down ended up being extremely nice and offered to pay all expenses to fix my cracked bumper and cracked right fog light. (This is at around 300KM on the car 2 hours into owning it... still pretty livid )
Well it's been 3 days and I managed to put 1300 KM on it but mostly all highway, just smooth driving around 2000 RPM. I did notice though the car appears to be luggish off the highway, in city driving the shifts are very rough, is this normal?

Ha, well the 1st day in my C55 I hit a bird, and my 1st day with my C63 I ran over a black cat....seriously. I've never at any other moment killed any animals while driving but somehow in my 1st day of ownership I'm 2/2.

Well that's a bummer! And are you saying he threw that tie-down strap/device over the truck, across one lane and hit your car in the left lane? Amazing!
I don't own a C63 but I did drive one for a weekend and started with 550 km (< 350 miles) on the clock. Certainly didn't feel like the engine was "lugging" even though we drove conservatively due to the low mileage. Shifts were as expected in all modes. No complaints. I'm thinking you were babying it a little too much, after all, these engines are run in before installation. Restrictions are as much for the drive train as the engine itself.
But with 1300 km, you're nearly there. About time to drive "normally."

I thought that our cars have a driver adjusting transmition system or something like that? ( It adapts to the drivers driving habits) So I just thought that 1100 out of the 1300 KM's that were driven were done so at highway speeds and very light on the gas, was the reason that the car was sluggish in the city? That the car's computer/ transmition was used to cruising speeds and not going from stop to go? Once the car is warn in and I begin driving it normally will it begin to smoothen itself out as it will adapt to city driving and not so much babying? or do I need to do this reflash thing and, where do I go to get a reflash done? sorry about the Noob questions.

Steps to Reset the Transmission Control Unit. Resetting the TCU will reset transmission to factory shift points and the car will 'relearn' your driving style.
(1.) Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.
(2.) Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
(3.) Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
(4.) Wait at least two minutes for TCU to reset.

I pulled up a little to close on a very high parking spot thing... The nose came over it and rubbed. I backed up slowly and BAM! The bumper grabbed the parking thing and a nice little bite came out of it. Its completely under and car so you cant noitce...
These things happen. At least your ok and it didnt come through your windshield!

Steps to Reset the Transmission Control Unit. Resetting the TCU will reset transmission to factory shift points and the car will 'relearn' your driving style.
(1.) Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.
(2.) Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
(3.) Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
(4.) Wait at least two minutes for TCU to reset.

If you have keyless go, to do the transmission reset trick, with your foot off the brake, press the button twice.
