09-2 c63 price tag
just got my service B done in an 08 300 (19,500 miles) and as i was waiting, i decided to test drive a left over 09 they had on the lot. sticker was/is 67,360...loaded minus the PP which i don't want. They offered me a VERY good deal on trade in assuming i put it back to stock and they can certify it, which i will and they can. most of the aftermarket stuff is transferable to the 63 anyway so i won't have to worry about parting it out...then I gradually get into the K2 tune, headers, etc and go from there...thus not needing the PP.
after all the above, i guess my question is, can i do better on this car than 55k? which is obviously what their offer was. i'll get around 30k for the 300.
Obviously 13k and change off a car that i didn't even really haggle with the guy about is huge but the question is...can i do better?
the c63 isn't a demo or loaner...its a left over...i've checked. suggestions are appreciated!

ha. that's how i came into my twin turbo porsche when my 997 C2S was in for service--the fatal test drive. i have the dealer pick up my cars for service now...just so i'm not tempted.
So it's $55K out the door excluding your trade?
To get your best deal, I recommend you tell them that you'll sell your 300 private party and for hem to give you the best $ on purchasing the C63 w/o a trade. Then, once you have that number in writing, tell them you changed your mind and plan to trade. See then what they're willing to give you on the C300. If it's a fair price to you, than go for it.
Not knowing your situation completely, my recommendation is to sell your 300 private party assuming the delta between trade-in price and PP is significant to you. There will be plenty of C63's around.

i certainly won't be taking a bath on my trade in and to be honest (i'll obviously do the math) i sort of would love to just take a weekend, put my car on the lift, back to stock (except x-pipe, can't weld), the aftermarket stuff goes back in the boxes, i pay the 25k and am done. no 3rd party to find or meet and negotiate with.
don't / won't need new wheels, coilovers, side markers ect.
i may even be able to get MB to put the aftermarket stuff on the 63 as part of the deal and save me the hassle.

Is it 55 out the door with tax and everything? If yes then pretty good deal. ALthough I have heard of people getting 53 out the door. And you are not gonna get 30K for c300.

To answer your question, I would offer them $53k - that is not unheard of. I got mine loaded with PP for $55k + TTT.
If anyone is looking for a car like the OP described (everything minus PP) I know of one, its black on black, PM me if interested.

I presume by your post that they are giving you $30K for your C300, and charging your $55K for the C63? If those are the real number, run, don't walk, and make that deal. KBB trade-in is coming in between $23K - $27K depending on options, location, etc. Private party is about $26K - $30K. KBB usually reports higher numbers than one can expect to actually get.
If you can get your dealer to pay you $30k for your car, and walk out with a C63 at $55K, you're a rock star.
But seriously, it's rarely a good move to combine a trade with a purchase in the beginning of a negotiation. Always bring the trade to the table once you settle upon the purchase price of the other car.

Forgive me but are we talking $US? If so...WOW; you get your cars so cheap! You are talking similar amounts in $ to what I've just paid in £££'s.
Basically, you have just been offered a C63 for $55k??
My fully loaded C63 was £62k (yes...pounds!). Thats just short of $100k! Now, I thought I got a good deal getting mine for £53k - a fairly big discount over here. However, in your currency, it still means I paid £84k!
For $55k (about £34k) we get something like a mid-range 4-cylinder C-Class!!
You guy's are so lucky!
