This is my situation.
My lease for my E350 matures on Nov. 21st and I'm either going to lease
a new E350 or finance a 2010 C63.
Actually, my last two vehicles have been leased E350 4matics which
I've grown accustomed too and have enjoyed greatly, but lets face it
they are not the C63.
The best part about my situation is the fact that my brother is a
salesman for Mercedes Benz, so either way I decide to go, the deal
will be sweet.
I absolutely love the look and motor of the C63. A few years ago
I was all set to buy a C55(hence my screen name) but my brother
talked me out of it because of the cosmetic change coming to the
C-Class and not to mention the bigger motor from AMG, so I waited.
Fast forward to today and I have the C63 on my mind.
Decisions, decisions.
What would you guys do?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

PetroC55:
I had a similar decision when my 2nd E55 lease was up. I either was going to get an E63 or a C63.
For me it was the change that I wanted in a newer engine from my E55 but more importantly was the performance and handling that I had become used to when I owned BMW's previously.
The E63 was tough to not go to with (the best looking W211 look ever) but I was done with the W211 Body style and was impressed with the C63 numbers.
As for how I like the C63? I love it! It handles great, it runs absolutely fantastic! The low end grunt is great off the line, it pulls like a freight train since I added the Powerchip ECU tune. I changed out the factory Pirelli's for Toyo T1R's and increased the size too. The handling improved dramatically!
As for the sound, I absolutely love it
Downshifts are a blast!I had a run in with a Lexus ISF recently in Mexico and we went from a 10MPH roll. Wasn't even close! I pulled 2 -3 car lengths from the start and was pulling about 6 - 7 car lengths and would have led by more when I shut down.
I talked to the ISF owner and he asked does that have a Kompressor too!
I think he was being sarcastic
I have seen a couple of posts on the board demeaning the interior of the C63 versus other cars but I am not the S Class type and am just as happy with the C63 interior versus my E55 interior.
Anyway I hope my thoughts help a little. I guess it's what each of puts in order of what each of us like!!
Good Luck on your decision!

I have to agree with deaguero, the C63 is much more fun to drive than the E55, I like it more than my C4S too.
Just passed my 1000 miles mark and looking around for some upgrades.
Get it, you wont regret it.

Tough one, with the 2010 E550 available. I drove one fully loaded and the creaure comforts of that car are superb, coupled with blazing performance for a large, heavy sedan.
If you want the young, sporty, badass look -- the C63 is the winner here. If you want the middle-aged, sporty, badass look -- the 2010 E63 is the winner here. If you want the over-the-hill, sporty, badass look -- the S63 is the winner here. Are there 20-somethings driving S63's, and 60-somethings driving C63's, sure. These are just generalities.

Yes the E350 is no C63. But the C63 is no E350 either. You will miss the quality of the E and the extra amenities it affords.Originally Posted by PetroC55

Otherwise the C63 is a blast if you must have a powerful sedan.
Thanks for all the replies.
I plan on going to the dealer next week to test drive a C63 and
see how it feels.
I will let you guys know what I think and what I plan on doing.
Again, thanks for the feedback.

Simple if you ask me. C63 for for sure, but if you can afford it the 2010 E63 look like one hell of a car, especially with the new MCT wet clutch tranny.

a C63 this Thursday at my local dealership here in NJ.
I plan on driving it hard for testing purposes and i'm not sure how
the salesman is going to react to my aggressiveness even though
the salesman is my brother.

After the test drive, that car will be sitting in your driveway not to long after, I guarantee that, your test drive will force you into buying it.

Okay guys, I test drove a C63 last night and I must say there
is still a smile on my face this morning. This car is an absolute
beast, instant power at anytime you demand it.
The handling was precise, the throaty exhaust was superb sounding
and the acceleration was breathtaking.
To say I was impressed would be an understatement.
The only thing I didn't like was the interior, I thought it was a
little plain looking, but the steering wheel and seats definately
had the AMG look and feel
. My last two vehicles have been E350's
and the interiors in both were well above average imo.
I also drove a 2010 E350 sport w/4matic and was very impressed
with it also. Obviously, it does not have the power of the C63
but nevertheless, it was very nice in it's own right. I love the new
styling of the 2010 E's and I thought the interior was elegant and
rich looking.
So, here is my dilemma, do I choose a vehicle with the raw power,
feel and sound of a race car or a vehicle with impeccable styling and
comfort?
I know what many people in this forum would choose.
I'll be back at the dealership next Weds. with my decsion.
I'm leaning toward the C63.

jump into a 63 for the next few years - then get an e to calm down...

Do you look at your car as more of a vehicle for point a to point b, or do you expect more out of your car? Do you want to look forward to turning the key and driving your car because its fun, or do you want to get in it, relax, lay back, and cruise?
At the end of the day, its a lease, so its only a 3yr commitment. IMO, youve done the E350 route...mix it up a little, go out on a limb and get into the C63. I can tell you I have owned this car for almost 3 months now, and even right now, Im finishing up some work over lunch at a local restaurant, looking outside at it, and I have mini butterflies of excitement for when I get back in it.
Youre not gonna get that with the E.

I must admit, the C63 put a smile on my face the moment I sat in it
and pressed on the gas pedal. I did not get that same feeling with
the E350.

The biggest thing to consider is weather. I see you like 4matics. I do not know if that is because they are good in rain and snow.
The C63 is not a good foul weather car. It does alright in rain, but even with all weather tires on it you should not take it out in the snow.
You can fit two adults in the back seat of the C63, but it will not be as comforatable.
If you do not plan on carpooling a lot, and have a alternate car for bad weather, it is a no brainer. Get the C63.

snow is a possibility at times and the C63 would be my daily driver.
Now, I have owned rear wheel drive vehicles in the past; a BMW 325i,
an Infiniti G35 and even a KenneBell supercharged Mustang that ran
low 12's in the 1/4 mile and all were daily drivers.
I appreciate the feedback.

I just wanted to update my situation.
I extended my lease on my E350 another month hoping
for a year end rebate on a C63 in addition to the already
sweet deal my brother was giving me.
Sadly, it never happened, so I pulled the trigger on a
2010 C63. I should have it next week.

cograts! I get mine on Thursday. I didn't have a chance to test drive one because they didn't have one . I can't wait to drive the beast and hear the exhaust.
