I am curious to see the gains and see if they are the same as on the 55k motors. I am also curious to see how the MHPs and such react to it. I do not know how the pricing works, but my guess would be that any special pricing would require you to swap to a Kleeman tune. I am sure that the tuners do not add to eachother's files. You may also be able to get MHP to dyno tune it?
Sorry man , did you say mhp? are they still in business? I thought they would be long gone and in hiding

It would only make sense. However, it is a bit ambiguous since Cory stated that the throttle is what the $4000 is for, or $4500 with air boxes. No mentioning of an ECU Stage 3 re-tune. For that price point, it should come with an ECU upgrade/retune.

in my understanding, lots ppl runiing different brands l/t and header but still using k1, so it seems there is no differences between k1/k2 in ECU setting

The tuned ECUs seem to adapt well to other improvements. I wonder what kind of power a tuned ECU, LTs and K3 TBs would put down.

I'm thinking anyone with LT's and going for a K3 will need a custom ECU tune to get the maxium output because a K3 ECU tune will be rated for there own type headers and Not LT's.

A new ECU tune won't be required with the throttles. What we're doing is reducing the pumping restriction on the inlet side of the engine, and the increase in airflow is relatively small. The ECU has the ability to go +/- 25% from it's base fuel map- the throttles don't provide anywhere near a 25% increase in airflow, so the ECU has plenty of room to adapt to the relatively modest increase in airflow. These will work with any combination of products, and the largest gains will be seen on cars which have already been modified- think ECU/Headers+. If someone is local to our USA facility, I'll make you a nice deal on the throttles so we can get some RWHP numbers- shoot me an email if you're close, have K2 (Or similar) installed and want the throttles.

You guys need to move to SoCal or a tax friendly base like NV. Weather is nice and closer to your demographic.

Or have a facility on the east coast, like NY or FL.

If any member is interested in the Kleemann throttle bodies I will give them to you at cost and just pay for the install.

I'll even throw in before and after dyno sessions to see what they actually make!

Someone step up so we won't have to wait any longer for REAL NUMBERS!!

K3: ECU, Manifolds/down pipes/cats, and dual 80mm throttle: $8490.00

Individual pricing:

Dual 80mm throttle: $4500.00 w/air box, $4000 w/o air box
haha WOW...4k for two metal flaps and electric motors to turn them? I feel sorry for whoever pays for this scam...it sad how tuners in the premium car market try to take advantage of people.

I mean 1.5k for an ecu and 2.5 k for exhaust you can get away with, but 4k for this? Who are you trying to kid?

The $$/hp cost must be astronomical....You could do so much more with 4K elsewhere..I don't even know that you need 80mm throttle bodies for this car anyway.

WOW thats expensive. This is without install labor right?

Lets just say I go with a K1,2,3. How much labor on top of the 10K? Aprox? What could I expect for total HP gains to the wheels?

The OEM ones are about 2k and these are brand new and will only build 1/100000th (fake statistic) of what mb made I am sure they are covering some of their development costs. The prices will most likely fall as time progresses as well everything is top dollar when they are first released, but I do agree they are expensive

K3 $8490 you can find a suitable dealer such as GMP to get them installed total with the parts less than 10k all in.

With an ECU tune included?

What kind of gains would I see from the K3? On paper, I know your still looking for a test subject. I wish you were in NY I would be happy to offer mine.
