I have no affiliation with this, but I was asked to help out.
Here's a similar thread on the E55 forum:

C63 guys, time to pony up and represent AMG!
Royal Purple’s ‘The Forum Wars’ is giving real members of real online car communities the opportunity to go head to head with rival counterparts in the ultimate racing challenge. Each battle will be broadcast on SPEED and all over the web.
Forum vs. Forum. M3 vs. C63. Owner vs. Owner.
Official drag race. Slalom. Timed hot lap. Three events. One winner.
If you have the car, experience on the track, and the eggs to bring it in front of a huge TV/Web audience then Royal Purple’s ‘The Forum Wars’ WANTS YOU!
If you….
- Own a (recent model) C63 (street legal, DOT approved tires, current registration and insurance)
- Have track experience
- Live in L.A or surrounding counties – or willing to drive
- Come fully trash talk equipped and ready to be on camera
Royal Purple’s ‘The Forum Wars’ wants to hear from you.
Email theforumwars@gmail.com, briefly stating why it should be you representing your community and the mighty C63. Please also include details of your location, driving experience and a picture of your car.
This is a “run what you brung” competition. No tire changes. No trackside tuning.

Wow, I would sooo do this, however I have zero track experience. I wouldn't want all of our reputations to rest on the shoulders of a driver that isn't extremely experienced. Sounds like a GREAT show idea, I'd love to watch it!

Ditto on Z99 on the track. Hhughes or Dads driving the Silver Dragon. I think Josh himself said he wasn't good from a dig.

Guys, keep in mind, that the M3 guys are probably in your situation as well. Not that much track experience, etc.
If you're an experienced and pretty good driver (even with minimal to no track experience), you should give it a shot.

My C63 has the K2 package. I do have a little track experience with the NSX (Sebring, Mid Ohio, Infineon, Firebird, Texas Motor Speedway, Motorsport Ranch) but went to the AMG Driving Academy in Palm Springs and will be attending the Level 2 at Laguna Seca next week. It sounds like a lot of fun. But I live in Texas and have no fond experiences of cross country drives or shipping the NSX.

Jeez. Throw me to the wolves, guys...
I'm in. I think pretty much everyone here knows what my car does to an M3 in a drag race, and I'm decent on the track, but the slalom always messes with me.
I'll give it a shot and throw them an email and we'll see what comes of it.

Looks like they are trying to get the 4.6L stroked M3 and a supercharged 1 accepted for entry. Do we even have anything remotely close to what they've stacked up?

This is NOT a drag race.
I have not seen anyone on this forum begging you to do this. But if you have the skills and experience on the track, go for it dude.
Just don't **** this up. A lot of people will be watching, and this entire forum expects the car to be represented in the BEST possible light given the available talent pool.

at least the guy is willing to do it and we all know that his car is pretty damn fast. I don't see the C63 owners lining up for this now... do you? (and there are a LOT of C63 owners on this forum that live in LA.)
this isn't a serious competition, it's a reality tv show. we all know that peoples' cars will be different and that peoples' driving skills are not on the same level. these matches are NOT indicative of how you and your car will perform or if the cars were put in the hands of pro drivers. if Josh wins, your dick doesn't grow and if Josh loses, your dick doesn't get smaller. I don't see what all the insecurity is about (that is readily prominent on the C63 forum).
chill.

This should be fun. After that 5 page thread, it's time to put up or shut up guys. Everybody here talks up their C63 to no end, now put your money where your mouth is.

The M3 guys have 2 seasoned licensed track racers participating.
Looks like they are trying to get the 4.6L stroked M3 and a supercharged 1 accepted for entry. Do we even have anything remotely close to what they've stacked up?

I've left many E92 M3s on the track or watched them go off while I chased them down, but I'm not driving from TX to CA with the C63 just like another member said. A tuned C63 (bolt ons and SW flash) will kill a similarly tuned M3 in a straight line, and with some properly set KW V3s on it it will hang with if not beat an M3 in the slalom and road course. The real difference on the slalom and road course will be driver skill.
I also say props to Josh for stepping up. Unless I'm mistaken, I think Evosport has a few staff or owners that are highly seasoned racers and can maybe lend some assistance.

That would be like the M3 crew. They know their engine is inferior so the want to run a stroked version or FI! Bolt on mods only should be allowed. As far as the driver is concerned, that should be an even playing field as well. Licensed racers should only be allowed if they are on both sides. Is this a comparison of the cars or the driver's skills???

So, let me get this straight, you're chiding M3 drivers for overhauling the weak point of their car (the motor), but you're saying it's perfectly acceptable for a C63 driver to overhaul the weak point of their car (suspension)?

What does all this going to prove? I haven't read the detail yet, but is it a "race what you brought" kind of deal? That would be silly, since you can highly modify the car to whatever extent you want. And it should be a level playing field with one driver, driving both cars.
