Went to the dealer to talk to them about this. Apparently, Tele-Aid is discontinued, and MBrace is taking over. NO one had a clue as to activate it. I called MBrace, they forwarded me to Tele-Aid, they than told me to talk to my dealer, my dealer only had brochures. No clue how to get it working..lol. Service is supposed to get back to me Friday, to get me setup with this. I got the Iphone App, but its useless at this point.

It wouldn't hurt if they added an on and off button for those snowy days were heating up your car can feel like your going to freeze to death before its warm enough to drive

and they upped the price to add like 2 features.
I think I'm going to cancel my teleaid, since I can't even get mbrace for another year.

Whoever has TeleAid already activated is ok, but like myself who just got my car, i cant activate teleaid, i apparently have to wait till they get this MBrace working..

mbrace question
got a letter in the mail for mbrace, did a search here but couldnt find where the i-button is or if they give you a free trial for it. in all honesty, what else do they want to charge you for. this feature should be free. my bmw had it, no cost. never had to use it, but comon, +40k car and they want to charge you on top of me paying already 700+$ for the extended service warranty. what gives?

You can thank Mercedes Benz Corporation for that. In November when MB entered the contract with Mbrace, without regard to all the exisiting customers, Mercedes Benz deleted Teleaid out of the Google system causing hundreds of thousands of customers to lose the service. You gotta blame Mercedes for this one.

I picked up my C63 a few weeks ago, and was told the same deal, due to licensing issues, vehicles sold with Teleaid at a certain point could not get mbrace till Nov.
My dealer told me that they will swap out the teleaid and replace it with mbrace free of charge, and since I purchased a CPO unit, I get the trial periods of 6 months for std svc, and 3 months for the mbrace plus stuff.

fwiw, I just renewed my TeleAid subscription. They gave me a better deal than MBrace. Plus the services are basically identical. TeleAid is the telematics contractor for BMW and Rolls Royce. I also have a BMW with TeleAid. But no Rolls Royce

So it's not a system-wide implementation?
I basically feel screwed for buying the Telematics option just so I could do Google maps and then after 3 months it stopped working. I am not going to pay $300/year to get mBrace, that to me is ludicrous.
Back to BMW it is.

I just had it installed last week for free. According to what I received in the mail and my phone conversation with the MBRACE customer service. The $299 is a one time charge for the basic service and is good for as long as you own your car.

i am not sure, i called and they told me disregard the letter and thanks for calling. just like that, didnt even tell me if i could have it installed. what kind of MB you have? let me know how you like it after a month of using it. then maybe i ll call the dealership and see what the story is
