I remember reading on some MHP page (their website doesn't show a lot of products) that ECU/TCU tune V3 with headers and no cats was around 9500$ and with cats around 10500$.
I don't know if they give a discount in the bundle but the ECU/TCU tune V3 is 6000$. I figure that the headers must run 4000$ if bought seperately.
I know they have an awesome product but 6000$ for a tune only? That's not just steep, that's insane.
I think the best bang for the buck would be Kleeman K1 (or K2 for more $$$) with MHP headers. If would cost around 5500$ for 70-80 WHP, but then your TCU ain't tuned. What difference does it make? Some, according to what I've read, but is this faster shifting and extra 10-15 WHP worth 5000$? To some people yes.
Hope this helps.

You get what you pay for so it depends on how competitive you are and how much performance you want. The best headers are the MHP long tubes. They are expensive but if you call Andy he might give you a break on the complete package. He is only making 25 sets so if you want one you need to get it on order. Most are already gone or spoken for. As for the tune its the same deal. You get what you pay for. I have been very fortunate with my tune and headers. I know HHughes1 has the same headers along with mthis and they are incredible. The workmanship is outstanding and the performance is second to none.
Also MHP will have the cat back available by Christmas so don't waste your money on "X" pipes or other pieces of the exhaust. Good luck and be safe!
Call Andy direct and talk to him. Tell him Keith sent you

In short, there are three performance types. The "shorty", designed where space limitations exist. This is not all bad. Most, if not all gains, are attainable at a relatively low cost (design, confirmation, construction) solution. The "long tube" headers are basically divided into two camps. The peak HP ( drag racers and Bonneville racers) and the peak under the curve (oval track, rally, and road racers). The long tubes are equal length 4 into 1 and Tri-Y design options. Tri-Y is generally chosen where a broad torque curve is desired. The 4/1 is generally better for two valve motors, while Tri-Y is chosen for multi-valve applications where a broad torque is desired.
